1993 300 zx hard start in the morning

I just bought this car. Changed the oil, put octane boost and premium gas in it. When I tried y start it this morning I had to jump it just to get it going. It's exremely hard to start cold. However once its running for a few minutes it runs and starts fine for the rest of the day.

You aren't running on all 6 cylinders.

You should check the connections at the little black box on the passenger side of the engine. Behind the radiator coolant hose.

They always get corroded with green corrosion and cause you to not run on all cylinders. Clean that up and re-check.

I have the same problem with my 300zx currently. You need to replace the gauge cluster. The speedo itself in the cluster is really expensive and hard to replace. Look for one on eBay. Make sure to get the correct year though!

SOURCE: 05 ford escape wont start. jump started it and it

okay try to your parts store and get a battery load tester, and find out if the battery is indeed dead. My guess is it sounds like the Altenator is dying. they are around 50-100 and can be install by a pro in minutes.

I just purchased a 2006 VW Passat 2.0T. When I opened the lid on the gas tank area, there is a sticker indicating that they prefer I use "unleaded premium, 91 octane". Can I use ethanol 89...

yes you can use 89 octane, but at first it may seem like the car is not running right. don't worry the car is okay it is that the 89 is thicker than the 91. just give it some time.

97 automatic eclipse idles funny. will die just running in park also in the middle of a slow turn or the new thing is i will crank it uo, and it will die due to low rpms?????? please help..... the car only...

hange your fuel from low grade to premium. Your car is designed to use the higher octane gas. For the time being put some octane boost into your tank to boost the low grade fuel that is in there at this time and the fill the tank up with the premium gasoline, using some fuel additive to clean your injectors and lines from the **** gas you had used in it. I had the very same issue with my Mitsubitshi eclipse, and it cleared up once i did these things I am describing to you . Dont forget to rate the answer

2001 sebring recently started sputtering at low rpms. Started after a recent fuel fillup. Tried dry gas and STP gas treatment. No change. Could this be a clogged fuel filter?

It could be but sounds like some bad gas, try using some octane boost because the gas you got might not have enough octane in it to run your car. So try using Octane boost and no its not the same as a gas treatment. gas treatment just cleans your lines and intake. Octane boost puts more octane in your fuel which is needed to run the car properly so try that.

2002 passat v6 fsi engine. 90000miles..recently i changed air filter, cabin air filter, fuel filter, sythelic engine ran good. then one day i put gumont fuel line cleaner with full premium gasoline...

This vehicle is due for a Fuel pump.

Mixing and using to many of these Gas treatment is not a good thing, i prefer putting in 1/2 of the bottle during a fill up and only after 3k or every 6 months.

Now what to do:

You need to have this one serviced.

*** If you plan to just keep driving try refilling it at a 1/2 tank to see if this will dilute all the additives you have in the tank and clear things up.

Hope this tip helps.

My honda accord ex 91 is running exellent since i changed the ignition wires and spurk plugs. it has 107,000 miles, manual transmision. for more power and gas saving, what kind oil motor and gas should i...

With that many miles there is no point in putting synthetic oil in the engine because it will probably be too thin and cause the seals to start leaking. Keep the oil changed regularly (every 3000 miles) and use a brand name 5W-30 grade oil like Mobil1 or castrol. As far as gas goes I would put a tank of high octane gas in about once a month. You can try using high octane all the time but check your mileage per tank on the regular grade and then after you've filled you car about 4-5 times with high grade so you can see if it really is making a difference. Also check your owners manual to see if it recommends higher grade gasoline.

I just bought it and need to no which gas is best for it out of the three types. and if i put regular gas in, will that break it!

when you open the gas flap to put gas in it should say "unleaded fuel only" or " premium unleaded fuel only". If it says premium only use premium. If it just says unleaded then you can use normal unleaded gas. But some stations have a lower grade unleaded gas. Use 88 octane or better.

i know changing the plugs in a van can be hard, sometimes when you have hard too reach spots aplug can get bumped, or cracked damgeging the plug or resetting your gap too zero,if this just started after you changed plugs i would check here first.

once you change fuel octane it may run sluggish because the car is used to running at a better octane to run more efficient. go back to 93 and see if that may change it back to normal (note that it may take your car a few runs to get back to normal)
