Question about 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Hi, I just recently bought a 1996 Grand Jeep Laredo (2nd Hand of course), since I bought it I have had a few problems. When A/C is on going up hills it changes airflow from face to w/screen, traveling at 100km then overtaking with foot to floor it gets to 120 then cuts out unless you don’t put your foot to the floor, rear wiper was working then didn’t but now it is again same as with the horn, now if I don’t drive for 2 days my brand new 13 plate battery is flat, also now my A/C isn't working. Before the last flat battery when I turned the ignition I would get a crackle like the sound of a short circuit before I got to the next ignition position. I was wondering if you could shed some light on the problems and give me an indication of the future problems that I might encounter so I can be prepared for them. Thanking you in advance.
Something could be draining the battery when the car is off.
Make sure no lights are left on.
Does it have lighted mirrors in the sun visor that are on?
Your problem with the a/c vents is vacuum. The car is losing it's vacuum supply and is defaulting to the defroster.
Check the vacuum resovoir.
