I found the switch. If I'm seeing this correctly, when the brake is stepped on, that black nipple is released. And when the brake is released, the nipple is pushed in. Well I tried pushing in the nipple, and the brake light still stays on.

Look on the brake pedal arm there is a small black switch with two wires on it it sounds like that needs to be checked as it is the switch that turns the brake lights on and off,it may have unwound and may need readjusting.Has your trailer plug been damaged to the point of supplying unregulated power to the brake circuit?

Why do my brake lights remain lit on my 1995 honda del sol?

There is a little plastic piece in your brake pedal that hits the switch to turn the brake lights off. These pieces wear out over time and need to be replaced, they should cost $5 or less at the Honda dealer. They pop in very easily. Good luck

Hi Guys,

Have you finally sorted your problems. I think it might be a faulty alternator on its way out.

Could you please be kind to let me know. I have the same problem and just need to be sure of what to do.

Abs on dashboard stays lit all the time.

The only way to know axactly what happen is with a diagnostic computer.
Because the ABS use a Speed sensor on each of the wheels.
Hydraulic selenoids on the ABS box or Module..
If the light is on. its mean the Anti Lock Brake System is inactive., You gonna brake like any car with no ABS.
I hope this information work for you.
