Question about 2002 Nissan Xterra
Look on the brake pedal arm there is a small black switch with two wires on it it sounds like that needs to be checked as it is the switch that turns the brake lights on and off,it may have unwound and may need readjusting.Has your trailer plug been damaged to the point of supplying unregulated power to the brake circuit?
