The first thing that needs to happen here is to have the computer control module scanned for fault codes, this is numero uno.

SOURCE: Have an audi a4 1.8T Cabrio. Battery went dead,

I had the exact problem with my A4 2001 1,9 TDI but i just turned the car on, then first turned the steering wheel to the left as far as it goes, then to the right (i dont know if this is necessary but this is what i did). After i drove for few meters, the light went off and it worked normally.

SOURCE: location of reversing light switch audi a4

I think on top of the transmission, the one has a wire, and looks like a sensor. To remove, need a 19mm , open wrench or socket wrench.

Whenever I put the Audi A4 in reverse it shifts fine but when i put in in drive it shifts real hard and when I am slowing down at times it downshifts like something hit me.Where do I add trans fluid?

down the dipstick tube!!!(really)DO NOT OVERFILL...
Your audi is fitted with a fuzzy logic gearbox, it will change according to your driving style.TRY THIS,put into 1st and without touching gas pedal, let the car accelerate to top gear, stop Then using onle 1/3rd gas pedal do it again.then using 2/3rds do it again.then only using the minimum pedal req accelerate to max legal limit.(try not to use brake pedal, let the car slow down itself, until you have to)then drive as normal, it will feel like a different car.

1997 Audi A4 Brake Vibration

the only thing i can think of as a problem would be brake pad quality. i would get some from the dealer and fit them. if there is chatter going on it can also be caused by low quality rotors or a bad maching job. have them inspected for integrity.

Car shakes and gas does not work

could be a number of things, may be worth checking there is no oil build up on the plugs. but it sounds like a possible fuel line blockage or clogged fuel filter. with 9000 on the clock you should not realy be having these problems though. its possible, if you've run out of fuel you could have dragged dirt from the botom of the tank. or there may be a problem with the fuel pump. id say its well worth having someone who know what they are doing have a good look for you.

1999 a4 2.4 auto uk model gearbox fault

After a jump start because of no electrical power, the car will run rough for several days (expected) while it adjusts to your driving habits. I'm not sure about the gears, but I'd try to drive with it like that for a few days and see if it returns to normal.
