SOURCE: Removing/replacing wiper motor in '93 Ford Ranger

You don't have to put the wipers in an upright position You can take the arms completely off. It's very easy to do, when you are looking at the base of the wiper arm, on the side closest to the windshield, at the base, there is a spring-loaded tab. Lift the arm on its hinge to where the arm is now pointing away from the windshield, pull the tab and the wiper arm will slide right off. Now you can access the linkage joints easily. Hope that helps!

SOURCE: ford f150 windshield wiper bushing diagram

sounds like a loose nut. there are nuts that hold the wiper arms on, they may be under a cover but theyre at the base of the wiper arm. also there's a nut that holds the wiper linkage onto the wiper motor. if you can move the wipers independently, it's the nuts connecting the wiper arms.if you move one arm and the other moves with it, it's the nut holding the linkage to the motor.

92 ford ranger i turn the wipers on and only here clicking why?

Just guessing, but sounds like the rod that connect the wiper motor to the wipers has broken or the just a clip came off the wiper arm. You can see the wiper arm through the cal panel in front of the windshield. If not, the cal panel will have to be taken off to get to it. Good luck.

Windshield wiper on passengers side stopped working.

The wiper arm is either loose or the gear has stripped out the arm socket itself. Try taking the arm off and turn the wipers on, if that gear still turns, then try tightening the arm back down. If it is stripped, you must replace the arm. Otherwise, if the gear still doesnt turn, the connecting rods under the cowl have been damaged and may need replaced.

Driver-side wiper not working

Pop the cover to the pivot off, and try to see if the nut underneath is fastened tightly enough for the driver side wiper to work, if that's the way it is fastened. Could also try to use epoxy glue to get it fastened securely if it's the push on type of pivot for the arm.

If the problem is not there, then the ball joint under the cowl could have come loose. That will be more involved to repair, as the armatures have to be seen to reinsert the ball joints together to make the wiper arm work.

Good luck on this repair.

2002 ford ranger wiper problem replaced wiper motor switch and relays still want work

Check for blown fuses or go outside and turn the wiper on and see if you can hear the wipers trying to move.  The bushings under the wiper arm might be stripped or not properly aligned.  You might have a short somewhere also.  Electrical problems can get expensive.
