93 rx-7 coolant leak

My 93 rx7 has a coolant leak and it seems almost like the coolant is coming out of the engine block itself, it is leaking out of metel and not out of a hose, i never seen this or delt with this problem. what could it be?

Similiar problem. But my coolant is leaking INSIDE my car and smoke is coming out of the a/c vents

Hey, I've not long pruchased a 93 and it looks as tho the coolant is leaking into the compression chamber.

The car starts (most of the time) and will burn off the coolant with a with a cloud of steam from the exhaust that lasts for a couple of mins.

The symptoms are that after driving for a while the cool get low and the alarm goes. Also if I leave the coolant filler cap off while running it starts to overflow.

The fix for this is to replace the gaskets (a re-build), but I'm hoping the problem is not so bad that I can avoid this by using a gasket/crack repair fluid. Failing that I'm looking at the engine rebuild.

If anyone knows a good mechanic/enthusiast that would be interested in possibly re-building my engine, drop me a mail (mrsevenstring@hotmail.co.uk).

I have a 1986 RX7 leaking from underneath the back of the motor.

gets worse as you rev the engine.

Gaskets not in good shape... if the leak is coming from the engine block... I'd have all the gaskets checked... and possibly rebuild it replacing all gaskets.

Coolant routing for 91 mazda rx7

Have no idea, but it's not hard to trace the hoses... they basically consist of an out from the water pump, and into the radiator, the out from the radiator and into the thermostat water jacket... then there will be 2 heater core hoses, in and out, which will be located on the firewall to the rare of the engine compartment. But if it's overheating the likely cause wouldn't be clogged hoses, unless of course you are leaking coolant which I'm sure you'd have noticed already. While the car is running and warm feel the coolant hoses, if they feel pressurized and hot then your water pump is likely good, and the likely cause would probably be the thermostat. Easy fix and cheap, too...

Mazda rx7 93 looses power @ 7k+

Look for restrictions in the intake air and exhaust systems. Check fuel pressure and delivery (fuel filter/pump). Check the ignition system as well. If the engine has a lot of miles, you may be experiencing combustion seal wear. These are amazing engines when they work correctly! Good luck!

run the car with the rad cap off until the thermostat opens[top rad hose will be warm] then shut off the engine.wait a couple of minutes and recheck the fluid level, this should get rid of the air.if ithis does not fix the problem then the head gasket may need to be replaced.

the engine must be torn down to repair the cooling passage seals, there is no way other than that to fix this, while u are in there might as well overhaul the engine.
