the self adjust mechanism is made up of two pieces a pawl and ratchet. removing them is more awkward than difficult. you need to remove the clutch pedal by knocking out the pivot shaft that also supports the brake pedal just knock it out far enough to remove the clutch pedal after removing the clip. when the pedal is out you will see how it is assembled. the hardest part of the job is replacing the spring which is attached to the pedal this must be hooked back into the pedal last i find a strong piece of wire threaded through the hole in the pedal does the trick this is a job for someone who has some experience good luck

My Lancer shuts it self off at low idles after it warms up. I adjust the throttle so it wont shut off and now it refs from 800rpms to 1.5rpms after the car warms up. Any ideas at where I need to look?

when u adjusted the throttle did you reset your system set it to around 750rpms let it run for like 5min turn off unplug the battery both wires pos and neg for 5 mins put back and try again it should level out if not bring it to a shop could be something deeper or a o2 sensor

There is no adjustments for a slave cylinder is part of this clutch. It is all hydralic which means it is an auti adjustable system. Upon the time when the pedal has no pressure the slave cylinder must be relaced

How do i adjust the clutch on my 2006 Mitsubishi lancer ES? It sounds like when i give it gas the rpms go up but the car doesn't speed up..what do i do?

I am pretty sure that there is no adjustment on your car. you will have to replace the clutch or have it done.

One comment there is no clutch adjustment, you clutch is hydraulic and it is self adjusting.
