Question about Cars & Trucks
Car is running sluggish while I was on the highway (felt like it was going to shut off). Then the check engine soon light came on.
If this happened after an oil change, it is best to check that the oil filter and sump plug are tightened and sealed correctly (not leaking) also check that the level and type of oil is correct

Likley there is a misfire in one of the cylinders. Usually due to worn out sparkplugs or wires. A check by the local mechanic, using his/her computor will pinpoint the problem. Or go to your local auto supply store & purchase the little computor to connect to your car computor (under dash at steering wheel). This will allow you to turn off the light. Cost is about $170.00 (Can.)
Hope this helps!

It is not knowing for sure the damaged parts to replace, since all moving parts get overheat due to lack of lubrication.
Let put in oil and start up the engine. Run for 15 minutes then change the Oil + filter. Pay attention toirregular noise when Engine running. Hope for the best and try to use the engine as long as it lasts. If there is a problem, don't fix it , just a replacement with a used engine. Why, without oil, all crankshaft, camshaft bearings, Piston rings...really burnt out already... Good luck
