check the operation of the start switch as the circuit to keep it running ( stop solenoid circuit) is not operational
could be a fuse in that circuit or a broken/ missing wire

Lincoln vantage 400 fluctuating amperage while idling. Could it be bad brushes or the motherboard ?

Could be a faulty voltage regulator internal to the alternator. May also be the charge gauge. Have the charging system tested. If voltage stays steady when tested, chances are a problem on the gauge side. If voltage fluctuates during testing, possible alternator problem and gauge ok

Car alarm goes off randomly

I had a similar problem. The Antitheft reacts to voltage changes and views fluctuation as a theft attempt. My Lincoln did the same thing when it was 3 weeks old. I even sat in the Parking lot one night to see if someone was messing with my car. Turns out the battery was shortening out.

2003 Lexus es 300 a/c is blowing hot air and the a/c light is blinking put a brand new compressor in there so i know its not that,

Did you check that your compressor has gas? ( special refregiration gas for tht purpose).

also it can be that one of the vents is not working. you know when you put hot on the main board in the car, the vents inside the car change of possition to take vantage of the eat of the engine to heat the interior of the car.

While driving gauges go up and down

most likely the alternator is bad. the voltage regulator is internal and when it goes bad you have to replace the alternator in most cases.

Response to Vantage audio and service problems

Well, I have to say, that interesting perspective

pulled me off the sidelines and forced a response.

I too, happen to be a 911 owner (2007 Turbo). And, not

to play *** for tat, but I think I could have "scraped

up the extra cash" to buy an entry level AM V8. I am a

partner with a private equity group that briefly

negotiated to buy the entire company from Ford's PAG.

We elected not to proceed, but I did go so far as to

post a $40 million personal LC to show seriousness.

I get a humorous kick out of those who look at a $100k+

car as a way to distinguish themselves as "someone who

seeks to be a little different from the rest of the

crowd". And then proceed to get into lemon law buybacks

and are afraid to "hold their breath" on the second

car. Who are you fooling here? You have the time and

patience for this ****? It's not like you are getting a

vintage Ferrari that will appreciate, you are buying a

new Ford for heaven's sake. The frequency of problems

with the AM V8 was one of the things that put a black

mark on the company during our due diligence.

And, buy the way, an F430 isn't that expensive to

service. A hell of a lot less than my time would be

worth having to go through a lemon law buyback. Maybe

you should consider one when you can scrape together a

little extra cash.
