Question about Honda Civic

1 Answer

I have a 2002 honda civic type r. one day the car struggled to start and when it did it seemed to only be running on 3 cylinders and died after about 5 seconds. the engine management light came on. i plugged it into the computer and it came out with the code p0341 camshaft position sensor. i've replaced the sensor and also the crankshaft sensor but neither of those things have worked

I have the same problem. I have replaced the camshaft sensor 3 times now and still nothing. Is there any other problems that it could be?

I have heard that the same error code on other brands can result from misfiring due to failing sparkplugs.

When installing my remote start, car die when I press unlock button on the remote

the problem is you. (sorry, but it sure is)
you cut up your cars primary wiring and wonder why it wont start?
worse yet, no plan, no factory drawing of stock wiring with your
cuts, and jumps and mods. so , how on earth can any one help here.
no way.
does your car have an Immobiizer option? and you want to fool it
you do know it can tell you are stealing the car, that is
you mimic the theft with remote start hacks.
first learn how the car works, then hack it, if must.
see?
most immo's monitor doors, and illegal starter hot wiring.
i bet the IMMO lamp glowed and told you its, Immobliziing.
did it? (called theft LED in dash gauge)
the systems are complex there , IMMO, ECU, keysystem. etc.
if serious on making this work , join a real real honda civic forum
and post how to put in remote start on your 02,
it can be done i bet,but it may kill the IMMO feature. whole or in part.

1991 Honda Civic Problems car started ok. at stop sign died will not start getting gas turns over fine.seems like no spark

whaddya mean seems like no spark. There's no such thing as "seems like no spark. There either is or isn't and it's easy to tell. remove spark plug lay against good ground and crank. you'll see it for crissse sake.

Not getting gas is a fuel delivery problem, fuse, pump, or relay.

On sunday pray for it. all the other days cuss it out.

95 civic wont start

An engine needs 3 things to run: Fuel, compression, ignition.

Maybe the timing belt went out. Take off the dist cap and see if the rotor turns as you crank the engine.

Next run a compression test on all the cylinders.

1989 honda civic randomly hard to start

Is the vehicle wanting to turn over? If not at all, look at the ignition switch, sometimes the contacts wear down and intermittant problems arise, such as not starting or car will die while driving.
