Ignition coil wiring diagram

I would probably go ahead and replace the components, at least with used parts as a trial.
Do you have the Delco system or the Magnavox system ? The Delco system has 3 small coils.

1985 3.7LX 4cl. blue wire to the oil press, resiter wire, coil to carb heat, both heat up.ignition on

Not sure what the question is ?
The heater for the choke and the coil draw alot of amps.
If either component has an internal short to ground, the wire will be very hot rather than just warm.
You could disconnect either component and see if the wire is still hot.

Buick Park Avenue has Type I coil packs, three twin tower ignition coils are combined into a single coil pack unit, and Type II coil packs, the coils can be replaced separately and the ignition wires are all on the same side of the coil pack.

Why not eBay? you may be able to find a "lightly" used harness from an appropriate dodge or Chrysler product that uses your engines?
Try for a Repair manual or electrical repair segment for an appropriate Chrysler product with your engine.
