My crankshaft sensor went bad and my O8 infiniti G35X what does that mean when it goes bad is that a big problem I will have to get fixed soon?

when a crank sensor goes bad it can make the motor not run right or shut down this tells the ecm the postion of the crank and works in junction with the cam postion sensor as well as if the crank sensor has a crack in it it could over heat the sensor and shut down the motor. they are usually in expesive to purchase a crank sensor and fairly simple to change

Need to find crank position sensor on a kia sodona 2005 and fix it?

To locate the crankshaft position sensor you will need to remove the timing belt cover. The sensor is located just above the crank gear between the "V" of the timing belt. The sensor is held in place by on bolt and the weiring connector of course.

Car is hesitating have error code p1391 check engine light is on what does this code mean it is not in the book I just put a crank posistion sensor and that fixed it ,now it is doing it again only worse...

p1391 is intermitant loss of signal from crank sensor and cam sensor--change sensors!! change cam sensor first. good luck!! then try it, if still same way. change crank sensor.

More than likely needs a crank sensor, Try cranking with the crank sensor disconnected, you should not get the dashes in the cluster. The crank sensors take out the communication system of the vehicle

Crank position sensor for 2003 Nissan Altima

a crank position sensor , sends a signal to pcm about crankshaft position signal, the sensor controls spark timing and firing order. the signal is also used for pcm to detect a missfire!! it also sends this info to ignition module, any mechanic can replace a crankshaft sensor!! call a auto parts store and see if you can get one, the cost should be a lot less.

Dodge intrepid 1997 3.5 engine code p0320

This means there is no crank reference at the pcm the crank sensor is a common problem with that vehicle but I would be sure to check for bad wiring or lose connection from the crank sensor to the pcm also the. If no problem with the wiring and the crank senor test bad then change it. The dealer would recommend also changing the cam sensor as well but I have just replaced the crank sensor and fixed with no probs(if the wiring has not been damaged have seen that before mainly where the wiring can rub at the crank near the bottom
