The thermostat is inder the housing that is bolted to the drivers side of the engine that the upper hose Is attached to. Remove the hose, unbolt the housing and replace the t-stat. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

Amanda's other post says its a 2004 grand prix.

If you had used your skills as an auto tech you should have picked up on that and noticed that the two posts where by the same poster. I answered the post that had the most info including the year, make, and model. I then posted the same info to the other post.

And by the way, the only engine option for the 2004 grand prix is the 3.8 liter. So the info I gave is correct for the Year, make, model, and engine size of the askers vehicle!

Replace thermasat location

The position of the thermostat is on the top front center of the engine,
you should be able to follow the top radiator hose from the radiator to
engine. I hope this helps.

Need a diagram so I can find where the thermostat is on a 1994 grand prix , to change it

Don't Think you'll need a Diagram, Just Open Hood and Locate Upper Radiator Hose and Just take your hand follow the hose down to Your Engine,You'll Come to a Metal Dome with a Hose Clamp and you'll see 2 Bolt Heads .Remove Upper Hose From the E ngine and Then The Thermasat Housing with Those 2 Bolts.Under the Housing is where your Therma Stats Located..
