Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

SOURCE: 2005 Nissan Altima makes rattling/vibration noise

It is possible that you have some timing chain noise, especially if you have the 3.5L engine. The secondary timing chain tensioners on the 3.5 have a known problem, Nissan has issued a service bulletin regarding this and there is an updated part to replace them. It is not a cheap job, but your dealer may give you some "goodwill" depending on your mileage. If you have the 2.5L the problem may a couple of other things...even more serious! They had catalytic converters that came apart and got ingested into the engine, eventually destroying it. Try googling "Altima rattle" and include your engine size in the search. There is a ton of info on the net about noises in these cars.

Its a '94 so engine or tranny mounts are a strong possibility...
You would need to seek the help of a mechanic to replace them.

2008 Altima with push button start. Why won't the fob unlock doors?

Insert key into and remove it from ignition more than six times in 10 seconds. When the hazards lights will flash twice insert key into ignition and turn to ACC position.
Then push any button on key fob once, the hazard lights will flash twice. Then open drivers door to END.
Should be all working again.

Getting NO KEY error. 2009 nissan push start

There could be multiple things going on here. One, have you replaced your I-key battery? You can try inserting the whole I-key into the slot located on the lower dash on the left side of steering wheel and try to start the car. If that doesn't work, then your I-key is broke and you will have to buy another one.

If your car is equipped with the smart key system it may not have typical door locks. check the link below for user manual.
If its not equipped with smart key it looks like it should be just to the right of the door handle possibly disguised behind a cover.

I changed my car battery, now my 2008 Nissan Altima key fob won't work

There is a special procedure involved in keying your fob to your car once the battery has been changed. You must lock and open the door with your key. Turn the ignition to "on"(not start) then push the fob's open and close button, then shut off ignition. This procedure is done everything the key battery is changed. Hope this can help you!

No. It sounds like the battery in your key is going dead. Check with your local dealer to replace the key.

Car will not start. Battery seems ok, but a "key and battery" symbol keeps appearing on the display area.

From the brief description it sounds as if your Key needs recoding? Try contacting your Nissan Dealer as 2008 it should still be under warranty!

Car not starting

I think that the keys are constantly sending out signals so the battery dies fairly quickly. The good news is that it takes a standard CR2032 battery that can be purchased anywhere, and that replacing the battery is a pretty simple thing to do.

I just purchased one of these from a rental company and the first thing I had to do was replace the battery.
