A tune up on this model is just a new set of plugs every 100,000 miles or so no matter what the owners manual says. The plugs are under the individual coil overs, remove the coils to access the plugs (and whatever else is in the way)

I get s flat spot upon stepping on the accelerator, it is petrol engine and has a carburetor(no its EFI)

it has no CARB,
carbs ended here in 1994

scan the pcm ! first.
it will tell you , the reason.
the errors from the Trottle body or the 4 TPS sensors
2 in TB body motor.
2 under rigth foot
if 1 disagrees, PCM goes to limphome and is weak power.

you can NOT fix or diagnose any modern car
lacking a scan tool.

you cant.
hesitation is misfire
and has over 50 causes.

why would I guess.
I won't'
scan it and tell us the bad news.

How do I trouble shoot no cold start?

hi bob,
what engine ? 2.5L V6 or 2.0 L 4 banger?
does it crank, if it don't crank, its a no crank issue (100% unique)
if it cranks fast, it's a no start and run symptom.
is the gas old?

if it cranks ok, try, a tuneup., ever do a tuneup this decade?
if it cranks ok and it is tuned (spark plugs etc) then try instant start in a spray can.

watch scotty do a true , no start
classic !

Tuneup 2006 tundra

A "tune up" is not rquired on this engine, the computer makes al necessary adjustments, there is nothing to adjust. Possibly spark plug replacement if it's a V-6 they should be replaced at 30,000 miles the V-8 engines use iridium plugs which last about 100,000 miles, the timing belt on both engines should be replaced at 90,000 miles, replace the air filter every 30,000 and change oil and filter at 4,000 miles. I would aslo recommend cleaning the carbon out of the throttle body at around 60,000 miles to prevent low idle and stalling.

How much is tuneup on nissan altima?

what kind of tuneup are you asking about? If you mean a scheduled tuneup at 50k or 60k, then anywhere between $200-$400 depending on the mechanic or dealership you go to. If its some other type of tuneup, it really depends on what they'll be checking on and what, if any replacement of maintenance needs to be done.
