Change the clutch and all went well and now the slave will not extend enough to change gears. so whats next

Assuming nothing was missed or forgotten during clutch change it would seem the clutch unit or the release bearing wasn't an identical replacement or perhaps the centre plate was fitted the wrong way around.

I have had experience of some reconditioned replacement clutches where the lining was too thick with the result similar to the one you are reporting.

How do i bleed the clutch on a 2001 Mitsubishi challenger

1 Press clutch pedal in fully and hold.
2 Open the bleed screw to allow fluid to escape.
3 Close bleed screw quickly.
4 Release pedal completely
5 Top off fluid in reservoir. Leave cap off of reservoir.
6 Repeat steps 1 to 4 no less than 10 times before going to 7 below. NO PUMPING!
7 Now purge the slave cylinder of any air bubbles that might be trapped inside of it.
8 Grab the clutch fork and push towards the slave cylinder pushing the rod all of the way into the slave cylinder as far as it will go AND HOLD it in.
9 open bleed valve and command helper to push the clutch down slowly purging any air that was trapped in the slave cylinder
10 As soon as the pedal hits the floor command your bleeder monkey to close the valve before you let the pedal return from the floor.
11 Repeat steps 1 to 4 one last time and proceed to the clutch reality check.

Does my car have an internal slave cylinder

The slave cylinder is the one that actuates the release bearing of your clutch system. It is located underneath your vehicle and mounted on the bell housing of your transmission assembly.

How do i bleed the master cylinder on an 02 lancer

Check the slave cylinder on the transmission for leaks, and replace if it is. Bleeding:
1. put fluid in the master reservoir.
2. move the slave actuator shaft so the clutch release lever has not slack.
3. Have someone press the clutch pedal, and crack the slave bleed nipple to let out the air.

Once the slave moves the release lever, you'll be able to decide if the clutch is OK or not.

check the clutch master cylinder to be sure it has fluid in it... then check the clutch slave cylinder to be sure it is moving freely.

I changed out my slave and master cylinder in a 96 chevy camaro Z28. After doing so pushed down on the clutch to let out all the air bubbles from the new brake fluid. But the cluth is still soft, it has...

put a bar behind the clutch operating arm ,slacken bleed nipple on the slave then pull the bar back so it pushes the slave piston in.tighten bleed then release pressure on the bar ,and repeat a few times this should do it

How do I adjust the throttle position sensor on my 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse? I have installed a new one.

Do you have the 4G37 or 4G63A or 4G63T? if you don't know.. that basically means do you have a 1.8, 2.0 SOHC, 2.0 DOHC, or a turbo-charged engine? I have an '05 Evo and i small screw on the throttle-body near where the intake connects to it. If you turn it it changes how high the engine will rev while its idleing. I'm not sure if thats what you mean because if not you may have to take it to a shop and get it recalibrated.
