SOURCE: fill auto trans fluid for 1987 Honda Accord

It's located on the right front (as u sit in the car) transaxle housing, which will be below or nearly below the battery. There are 2 types of trans. dipsticks, one is a screw in type, to check the fluid, the car should be at normal operating temperature, and the engine OFF. The screw in type dipstick should be pulled out, wipe off w/ clean rag, re-insert, but DO NOT tighten. Pull up, and check level. If u tighten the dipstick to check the level u will get a false reading, you must only push "til it makes contact. When finished, tighten by hand only, don't use a wrench.
The other type is just a push in dipstick, located in the same area, it just doesn't have any threads to tighten. Make sure it is fully inserted to check, and when done. countrycurt0

Where do i insert transmission oil

You need to indicate the year and model of vehicle you have and whether you are talking about an automatic transmission or a manual transmission.

If it is an auto, many models do not have dip sticks and filler tube in the vehicle's engine bay. The auto trans must be filled from the side of the transmission at the filler port and accessed from under the vehicle

Where is transmission dipstick 1989 Mercedes 300SE

If it is not under the bonnet in the engine bay and clearly marked so you can find it then that model and engine does not have an auto trans dip stick and filler tube. The auto transmission has to be filled by removal of a filler plug on the side of the transmission and accessed from under the vehicle.

in about 5min or , 30seconds after lifted.
easy.
the shop manual covers this.

TRANSMISSOIN FLIUD ASTRA

some had dip stick to check and fill from which is in middle of engine and trans at front (where engine joins trans) black plastic lock over tang, engine dip stick is yellow. other model transmissions had a filler bolt hole which is in left side of gear box right next to where left drive shaft goes into gearbox even though its auto. some manual boxes had this same filler plug location and even on right side of box next to right drive shaft.

WHERE DO I PUT THE TRANSMISSION FLUID IN MY ISUZU RODEO 1998 4WD V6-3.2L ENG. WHERE IS THE FILLER???

stevenhurc_15.jpg most didnt have dip stick for auto trans, fill through fill plug shown then start and run through gears to circulate oil then remove fill plug while engine is still running and topup until oil just trickles out of filler plug hole. It is a bit of a pain to fill and can get messy depending on what you have available and be careful of the hot exhaust as you fill and top up trans level.
