I have the same issue, but the brakes don't vibrate. It was a generic obd2 code (1456 i think). I reset it and it went away for about 2 weeks, but now it's back. I have 167,000 - check engine and tcs light with a rougher idle.

I have a 1999 Acura TL that I bought used from an Acura dealer with 39,000 miles. It now has 173,000 miles and has been a very reliable car, but suffers from a hard shifting transmission especially from first gear to second (especially when cold) and the check engine and TCS lights are on. The only other issues have been warped rotors and a coil pack replacement which I fixed without the assistance of a service center. Money is tight and I want to keep driving the car for many more miles. I would like to know how to fix the problems I am experiencing. Please help.

Both the TCS and Check engine lights came on i my 1999 Acura. Purchased it from the dealer with 25,00 miles and now has 110,000 on it. I have never had to take the car in for service except for oil changes etc. I took it to the dealer and had the codes read. 5 out of 6 of my plugs were misfiring, had a sticky valve and had a "kit" put on , also had carbon cleaned from my valves. This was the least of my exxpens. I had to have the timing belt, water pump, tensioner belts replaced. The car also jerked when putting it in reverse--that problem was caused by 2 motor mounts and a transion mount being broken. All of that was replaced at a cost of approx. $2,000 dollars. Sounds bad but it had to be done. Its the only maintenance I've had to do in 5 yrs. My brogher owns a large garage in another state and said that the cost were about right. Labor was more than half the cost.

You need to get to a repair shop and have them read the diagnostic codes (the computer port is in the center console under the change holder/lighter). With that amount of mileage, it is very likely the code will show that the oxygen sensors and/or catalytic converters need replacement. If that is the case you will also need a tuneup (plug, wires, etc). I had this done a year ago at 160,000 miles. It is a pricey repair but I get 29mpg at highway speeds and it runs nicely on regular (less power but no pinging).

Replace your spark plugs and PCV. It's the cheapest possible solution. If that doesn't suffice Acura had a recal on EGR valves a few years back. I would suggest getting your EGR valve changed. It's not expensive and it's easy to get to. It doesn't take more than 10 minutes.

2000 Acura TL changed the fuel pump car runs good but now the TCS light and check engine light are on.

the TCS light will come on any time the check engine light comes on. Pull codes from the engines computer to see why the check engine light is on. Post the codes in the comments below and I'll do my best to assist you further.

The TCS light came on and the car started jerking especially at stops. The light would go off for a while after restarting the car but the same problems would happen and the light would eventually come...

The TCS stands for Traction Control System, I believe. The TCS is controlled by inputs from the wheel speed sensors. If you have a bad sensor, then a new hub may be required to repair it.

The check engine light may be a sepawrate problem. Have the codes scanned for both the Anti lock braking sytem, TCS, and the check engine light.

Sometimes it will require a separate scanner for the TCS/ABS vs. the Check Engine light.

Good luck on this diagnosis and repair.

Tcs light, check engine light flashing and constant shaking..

Use an OBDII scanner, some auto parts stores will do this for you free of charge.
Codes P0300 through P0306 indicate mis-fire and you may also get codes reflecting Cat damage from running that way.
I know of one TL from this series (2000 3.2 TL) which had a warranty REPLACEMENT OF TRANSMISSION!!! free of charge and this very problem was solved. I still do not know why they were related. Talk to Acura customer relations about this.

2002 Honda Odyssey TCS light comes on after driving approx 1 mile

There are several things that will turn the check engine light and TCS light on .If you get the code I can tell you exactly what the problem is . On your year i see transmission problems as well as EGR problems. If you go to any large auto parts store they will check the code for free or a very small fee.

Misfire in Cylinder 1,2,3,5,6 of my 2000 Acura Tl

you may have a faulty crankshaft position sensor this is what controls the firing of the plugs. you may also have corrosion on the plug for the coil pack causing multiple misfires

99 TL engine roars and shakes when pressing on gas.

a flashing chack engine light means you have a catalyst damaging misfire the tcs light comes on because this system will not function with certain codes stored for the engine or trans. knowing that you have a misfire you very well could have a bent valve the question is why. have someone check the engine timing incase the timing belt tensioner has failed. i have seen this happen on the 3.2 before or a burnt exhaust valve . as far as the distributor goes the 99 tl does not have one it has cop (coil on plug ignition) . this means you have a seperate coil on top of every plug one of these could have failed check the code to see if the problem is isolated to 1 cylinder rhen start looking at that one and you better hurry that light flashing means you will damage the catalitic converter if the car continues to skip good luck and i hope this helps you.

TCS and Engine Light are ''ON''. Engine misses badly.

A part is most likely malfunctioning causing for the TCS to turn off. You'll have to get a diagnostic check to determine what part is failing. What ever that part may be is causing for the misfire.

Tcs light flashes

if you're flooring the car and there's wheelspin that will activate the tcs, which stands for traction control system. It cuts fuel to slow you down until you gain traction. So no burnouts on the TL. =D
