I had the same problem with a 97 transport. Here is a couple solution to your locked radio problem. This is assuming you have the ACDelco radio original to the vehicle. One way is to allow the vehicle to warm for an hour. After warming the vehicle press either the 1/2 or 3/4 or 5/6 buttons together. In two on the sequences, a three digit code will come up. Write these codes down. I called the original seller of the vehicle, (if known) or a GM dealer. Speak with the parts or service department. They do not have the 4 digit code to unlock the stereo, though they can make a call to ACDelco and get the code. The other way is to take it to a dealer and have them erase the code, which is approx. 30-50 dollar depending on the service station. Hope this helps.

The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If
you do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's service
centre and get them to enter this code for you.

need to notify dealer code is part of anti theft system and is a dealer issued number -- call first can advise how to retrieve radio id code which will be needed -also needed proof of ownership and id and dealer can look up code if have manual tells how to retrieve radio id code as well how to enter un-loc code if u tried and failed and radio states sec will need dealer hook up to reset -
1st remove the positive wire from the post. Next remove the negative wire. Next remove any retainers that are holding the battery in the mount. After you free the battery, remove it from the vehicle. Reverse order of removal to replace. reset clock, and radio settings. IF your radio has an anti-theft device and it becomes active due to the absebse of power (battery removal) you may need to contact your dealer for the code to release the device. Good luck, I hope I have helped.
If the code is not at the back of your manual, try 0000 and if the radio locked it self from taking any more codes. Just disconnect the battery and that will reset the radio so you can re-enter the code. If 0000 did not work then log on to Radio-code.com, you can get your cod there for like $12.00 which is cheaper then the dealer and you get to know the codes as most dealer will just unlock the radio. Good luck and hope this helps, keep me posted if you have any more question.
