How to change from distributor to coil pack setup. jeep already setup for coils engine i just bought has distributor

wow posted with no year, no car and no engine stated!!
strike 3 you are out.? for sure..!
WANTS DIS on something ! (distributorless, ign. system)
wild useless guessing (year)now...... sad no?'

you cant (if EFI jeep 1987 and newer)
that needs a new ECU ! CUSTOM ECU, dig:?$$$$$$$$$$

not only that, but the base of the distributor\
is cam timing, so removing that killls dead, injector sync.MPI

if money falling of pockets and must spend big cash
buy a MSD setup.(a distrib)
why not just put B osch cap, rotor, magwires and new plug in it
and call it a day.(like 99.9% do )\

ok answer 2,
you have a JEEP,something ?before magic year 1987 (efi)

well you need a custom DIS system
with a special spark ECU, (and custom spark tables)
crank sensor
cam sensor
coil packs, pairs, or COPS what ever floats you's boat.
then a map sensor so the ECU can use correct loading factors
for spark advance.
then program that table. (most use dyno service to do that)
there may be a place that sells this for your unstated engine
but we are STOPPED here.

What would cause the motor to crank, but have no spark at ignition coil?

couple causes...crank position sensor will send a signal to the ecu when to spark, the ecu will then command the coil to spark

Why 89 Chev Celeb injectors dont open with new ecm, new crank sensor 2.8L mpfi, dis

It sounds to me like it could be one of a few problems.
1) Incorrect ECU for the car
2) Incorrect wiring at either of the parts you changed or at the ECU
3) Faulty ECU

Start with the easier ones and the cheapest. Check your wiring and check your part numbers and ensure that all of them are for your year/model of car. Also, double check all of your connections from start to finish and ensure that there are no kinks, breaks, cuts, scratches of the wires and/or coatings.

What role would computer tools play in setting the timming mark of 3.7L Liberty jeep,2002 model

what great question, ROLES.
what are you doing, service,? or troubleshooting? what? new heads?
no context or just curious....???
first off , is this spark timing or cam?
my guess is spark,
and the FSM is clear there, (ever seen a FSM?)
factory service manual or look online at
it says, there is no spark timing on DIS engines.
(there are exception on early DIS systems (i have one)
its fixed, the 2 timing sensors cam/ crank are hard fixed.
This allows the ECU to advance the timing and NEVER be wrong.
now the proof.
i log into for you.
i click search , spark timing.
"Ignition timing is controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). No adjustment is possible."

now the ROLE question, answer , ALL.
the PCM does it ALL. (software/firmware)

Engine turns over but won't start. plugs and wires changed

A diagnostic check of the vehicle will pinpoint your no starting problem, but if that isn't an option for you and you want to do the work yourself, follow these step's:
Check for spark WHILE TRYING TO CRANK THE ENGINE. If no spark is present, check to see if there is power coming from the switch during cranking. If you have spark, check to see if you are getting fuel. If you aren't getting fuel, check your fuel filter(it coud be clogged) and check ALL fuse's. If you aren't getting spark AND fuel, then check the crank sensor as it is the controller for spark and fuel delivery.
