SOURCE: how to replace a fuel pressure regulator

Is it the 3400 v6 or the 2.2l four cylinder? If it the v6 then what you have to do is first know where it is. It located on the end of your fuel rail on the driver side of the car. There will be a plastic hose coming off the top of the regulator, unplug it. You then have to undo your fuel line that runs into the bottom of the regulator. You have to use a wrench to get it off, not sure what size it is. Once you undo the fuel line the next step is to unbolt it from the fuel rail. There will be two screws that run in the side of the fuel pressure regulator that are facing the driver side of the car and are threaded in towards the passenger side of the car, just undo those two screws and the regulator should come off. Just repeat the process backwards to put it back on.

SOURCE: suzuki grand vitara fault code

my 02 Grand Vitara 2.0 RHZ HDI, was suffering from the same problems, giving me codes for selenoids valves, replaced the three of them did not solve the problem, finally a friend of mind told lets take down the Catalityc Converter, which we did and it was obstructed, took it apart, made a hole on the side eliminated everything inside, and solder it back, since then no more problems, the truck has more power, and no codes, after 20,000 kms this catalytic converter get obstructed, probably a factory defect,

what is to list the FSM tests to discover true cause>?
my GV state side has a 2.5L V6, but there are others. 1.6L ,2.0L etc.

P1410 Suzuki - Fuel Tank Pressure Control System Malfunction
Faulty Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor
- Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor harness is open or shorted
- Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor circuit poor electrical connectionwhat i do , is reset the code, then tighten the gas cap and drive.
see if it comes back. or a new cap, some leak.
but it just might be and open sensor.
reading way too high.

Hard starting when cold only why? Once car starts it starts up normally as long as it is warm. When car sits for a few hours cranks and cranks like it has no fuel.Has anyone else had this problem?

could be loosing fuel pressure either back through the pump or the fuel pressure regulator is bleeding back to the tank which means the pump has to prime the system before it starts which is why it is slow to start
