Yes check the fuses first. If good check ground wires for the lights.especially in the back where the bed touches the ground. It might have snagged a wire.

I have a s-10 with vortec 4,3l fuel pump was making wierd noise for a while one day it stopped a guy helped me out by banging on the gas tank under side it ran for a while but croaked on the way home about...

To do it yourself: pull filler neck hose, wiring harness from rear lights, remove tail gate, remove bed bolts, lift bed off frame with friends and slide it back enough to access tank, replace pump unit from top of tank, splice wires as needed for new plug and reassemble in reverse order, done. is about $280.00 using parts store parts. 400 and up at a shop.

Change a fuel punp on a 1987 dodge dakota

I have found that the easiest way is to remove the bed. Take the three nuts out that hold the flange inside of the fuel filler door. Remove the 8 bolts that hold the bed on from underneath. Unplug the tail light wires. One person on each side at the wheel well, lift it and slide it off, either completely, or half way (the second way helps to have two milk crates placed behind the vehicle). Remove the fuel lines and unplug the sending unit at the top of the tank. Unscrew the outer ring and remove the sending unit. Either that, or drop the tank which can damage the lines, etc.. then reconnect and lift the tank back into place. Removing the bed is usually the easiest route and the biggest time saver. How to remove gas tank of 1989 Chev 1500 after you removed plastic cover

This will sound ridiculous, but read on. The ABSOLUTE easiest way to work on your gas tank (including the fuel pump and sending unit) is to remove the bed bolts and slide the truck bed back about a foot. This gives you complete access without fighting with the fuel lines. It is MUCH faster and easier than removing the entire gas tank. Just remember to disconnect the wiring harness for the taillight assemblies in the rear before you move the bed. When I first heard about this, I thought the guy was nuts. However, once I tried it, I would NEVER pull a fuel tank again with the bed in place.

I have an 07 f550 long wb and im trying to figure out what color wire is the hot wire for the reverse lights, this is on a flatbed rollback truck,i need to splice in somewhere in the cab if possible

being a roll off the wiring can be different depending on what shop installed the bed, some shops replaced the reverse and tail lights from factory for clearance issues. others just removed them and used the lights on the headache rack. the stock ones are either pink or green on most models

Remove truck bed to repair gmc s15 1990 2.8 v6

Not to difficult what do you want to do to it repair a side panel or remove the bed completely? all you have to do is take out the center frame bolts out of the rails in the bed disconnect wiring harness at rear where lights plug in on drivers side and if you don't have a bed liner or camper shell then the only other thing is remove the bolts or screws from the fuel tank so the filler hoses stays with the bed. It can then be easily taken off the bed with two or three guys, or you can slide it off from the front to the back, or block it off with 4 1/4 oil barrels, make sure there is no brackets attached to the fender. Hope this is what you were looking for. Any questions let me know, you can buy side pannels if it has the side paller damaged if you have a drill and a welder.

Process to change fuel pump on 2001 chevy silverado 1500

take the six bed bolt loose and then take three buddies slide the bed back put in the new pump slide it back n place and put the bed bolts back in. if u drop the tank u can easily break the hard plastis lines that go to the fuel tank. u only have to take the fill lines and taillight wires loose this way its alot quicker, and easier.
