SOURCE: Need to replace the driver's door interior door opening assembly

Hi there.

The procedure is roughly the same for all mk3 x types.
You need to remove all the screws on the armrest and on the ashtray, then undo all the plastic clips using screwdrivers on the panel.

You find detailed instructions on links below, I quote:

" remove two screws at the bottom of the armrest.
pull out ash tray.
remove screw in the middle of the ash tray holder.
pull up on armrest, it should pop up, then pull it out
start at bottom right of door and start popping out the plastic clips (all the way around the door)
(remove speaker wires)
push up door panel - done"

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Pull back the weather seal and you'll be able to see the motor, regulator, guide rails

How do you open up door to acess power window switch 2007 mazda 3

Places to look for screws (general guide, not model specific):

1) within the door opener latch. Pop out any plastic backing plates.
2) Beneath arm rest area. Pop out the arm rest if possible and inspect. Some screws may be located under a thin rubberized matting which sits in the arm rest/ door grab handle recess.
3) Within the window switch cluster. The window switch cluster can be popped out on many models, without the need to remove the door panel.

I haven't removed a Mazda 3 door panel before, but I have removed a Ford Focus panel (Based on the same model) and the panel pretty much just all popped off.

The trick to removing panels is to pop off whatever you can, and then feel for where any tight bits may be, then look at that location carefully for screws or other types of retaining clips.

How do i install a window motor in a 1994 grand am

First you'll have to remoe the door panel and all the little pieces: Remove the little plastic slide piece that locks the door (I'm assuming if you have power windows you have power doors too) Then remove the plastic cover under the door hande. (Pry up with a flathead screwdriver) This will reveal a bolt/screw that needs to be removed. Then pry up the plastic cover that the power door lock switch is on.
Disconnect the wire and set the plastic cover aside. Then remove all the screws along the bottom of the door trim. Remove two srews in a triangular plastic cover, up by the top of the door, by the window and then remove the plastic cover.

Pull out the door panel along the front and back, (it's only connected now by plastic clips/pins.) Pull up on the door panel and it should become loose. You'll have to losen the seat belt to pull the panel away from the door. The panel will remain connected to the door by the seat belt. This is a pain and will keep the door trim in your way the whole time! Carefully pull down the clear plastic vapor barrier.

The window should be halfway down. The lifting arm will be attached to the glass window with two bolts, one on each side. loosen, but do not remove the bolts. (Move the window up and down a little to get it in the best position to reach the bolts.) Be very carful not to break the glass. Disconnect thewindow from lifting arm after you've loosened the bolts, by pulling down on the lifting arm or use the power windowswitch to move the lifting arm down a little.

Tape the window up to the frame so it doesn't fall down while your working. There are two bolts attaching the botom of lifting arm to the door frame, remove them. Disconnect the wire clip from thewindow motor. The Power window motor is attached with 4 rivits. You will have to drill them out and then chop off the rivit heads with a chisel or screwdriver to remove the rivits. The whole assembly can now be removed through the large opening in the door. The window motor is attached to the lifting arm with 3 rivits, they will also have to be drilled out.

***Danger*** the lifting arm is attached to the motor with a large tightly wound spring. This must be secured or locked in place with a hole drilled in the unit and a bolt inserted or it will spring apart and may cause injury!! Also it will be impossible to re-attach the spring correctly if it does come off. Remove the motor and replace it with the new one. The new motor comes with it's own screws so use them to re-attach the new motor to the lifting arm, instead of rivits. Re-install the unit in the reverse order. The motor will have to be mounted to the door frame with 4 new rivits. There is no space to use bolts or screws.
Hope this helps.

I need to replace the passenger side front window on a 1980 cadillac fleetwood. How do I remove the door panel correctly? Where do I go from there?

You need to remove all screws first. Any screw visible. Remove the chrome cup from the door handle area, the door strap, and the master control switches. Can't remember if there are screws on the lower end of the door panel or if there is plastic clips. If there are plastic clips, go to an auto parts store and get the tool for it. It looks like the tool you use to remove dandelions...flat tip with a slot in it. Slip it between the door panel and the door itself and pop the panel out. Try and get behind the clips. Once you have it unscrewed and unclipped, pop the panel upwards....you might have to jiggle it a little to get the seal off of the glass.

Once you have the panel off, just take a look at the glass and the channel it is sitting in. It is pretty straight forward.

Exterior rear door handle on Honda Accord 2001

To Remove Door Panel on 2001 Honda Accord:

A: To remove the plastic piece with the door lock button and door handle connected to it:

1- Remove the screw in the middle located behind a plastic cover button
2- Push (slide) the whole assembly Forward (toward front of car)
Besides the screw, it is held in place by 3 hooks on the backside that hook into holes in the metal door frame
3- Now unhook handle from small metal bar going through door by pushing (toward door) plastic clip (blue?) off of the bar, then the bar will come out of the clip hole, thus releasing the handle.
4- Depress little grey button /bar (purple painted on it)on elec. connector to seperate connector, thus releasing door lock switch

Now the whole assembly (metal handle, door lock switch, and plastic piece) will come off door panel

B: The door is held on by 2-screws, 7-plastic snaps/plugs, and 1-plastic plug.

The screws are located: bottom of hand hold and the other behind the handle, both covered by little covers that have to be pryed off to access the screws.(hint: the screw with the built in spacer goes behind the handle when you are trying to reinstall)
The 7-plastic snaps: 3 across bottom and 2 on each side. Not visible, they are mounted to the inside of the panel.
The 1-plastic plug is visible at the upper front of the panel and is the same color as the surrounding trim

C: Take off the big plastic triangle piece above the door panel and behind the mirror. Pull/pry off. It has 2 snaps holding it on. one near bottom and one near the front.

D: Light lens prys off from bottom. Unscrew (1/4 turn) the light assembly with bulb still intact from backside of panel

E: Remove the Hand-Hold/window switch assembly:
