I have a 2004 chevy surban that keeps blowing the ignition fuse what can cause this

You have a direct short to ground on that power feed circuit . You need to find a power distribution diagram to see what all gets is power from that fuse . Isolate the circuits till the fuse doesn't blow any more , then trace out that circuit that blows the fuse .

Which Ignition fuse ? Which fuse box is it in ? under hood , passenger compartment ?
IGN A
40A
Ignition Switch RUN, START, RUN/START/ACCY
IGN B
40A
Ignition Switch RUN/ACC, RUN/START
Could be ignition switch problem , Chevy has had problems with them .

My 2004 Ford Taurus, keeps blowing the ingetion fuse.

Ignition fuse ? Are you trying to start the vehicle when the fuse blows or with out doing anything ,just put a new fuse in an it blows ? You need a power distribution diagram , to see what all the ignition switch powers up. Then you can check each circuit to see which is at fault . Free wiring diagrams at www.bbbind.com . Just click on technical information , then click on tsb's an wiring diagrams on the next page you will see END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT , go to the bottom of the page an click I agree .Next click wiring diagrams an enter your vehicle info . Then system , electrical distribution - subsystem , power distribution . Click on search an then click on each link to find ignition power distribution .

Engine fuse keeps blowing. what does it supply power to and most commoncause for this to happen.

the only reason that fuses keep blowing is excessive current usage through them
It is from shorts in the units after the fuse, faulty units after the fuse, too many extra accessories tagged into the circuit. It normally supplies power to all the engine circuit items (ignition, starter relay, alternator, accessories and anything else connected to the ignition switch

My 1997 Chevy suburban k1500 5.7L keeps blowing the 20-A ENG 1 fuse

I had this same problem with a 1997 Z71 K1500. That fuse was receiving power from the ignition switch in my truck. After putting 4 ignitions in it in 6 months, I finally figured out that every time I put the transfer case in 4Low, the service engine light would come on & the ignition switch would go bad soon after. The electric motor that engaged transfer case was bad. Every time I engaged 4 Low, It would throw power surge to ignition & blow it up.

30 amp Starter/Ignition fuse keeps blowing when i turn the ignition key. The instrumentpanel lights are dim and then the fuse blows.

I am assuming you are talking about the circuit that powers the key switch. I'm showing a fuseable link to the starter relay instead of a fuse.
If it is the circuit that powers the switch, I would disconnect the switch and see if the fuse blows as each circuit is powered one at a time using a jumper wire. You can get 30amp circuit breakers that plug into the fuse slot to use while you are testing circuits.
You may need a repair book or shop manual to find out what is powered by that fuse since it is most everything on the car.

Ignition fuse keeps blowing when i turn the key

It MUST be the starter relay coil - or the power wire that feeds it. Likely a short in the relay coil (AKA starter selenoid).
