SOURCE: ABS LIGHT ALWAYS ON 1996 FORD ECONO.

Replace the rear abs speed sensor located top of the rear differential. 90% of the time this will resolve the problem as this is a very simple system not much to it. The sensors are cheap about $20.00

How do I bleed the steering system on a 1983 pace arrow rv

I'm assuming your rv has a common style hydraulic steering system. the following procedure should work

turn the steering wheel all the way to the right then left or left then right several times.
Top off steering fluid.
repeat until the level is full and doesn't drop anymore.

Not god to use starter fluid, gas in a bottle works. If it starts that way ,my guess would be the fuel pump.

Is the master cylinder good? a bad master can cause this also did you bleed the master first before bleeding at the wheel and also make sure the bleeder screw is clean, if the hose is good then theres only a few things, a bad master or a master that wasnt bleed, try bleeding the master first then try rebleeding the brakes.

Hand brake light on dash of my 1983 FJ40 will not turn off

Hi. Look at the brake master cylinder. See if the brake fluid is low. If there is a wire and a connector on the side of the reservoir, this is the 'fluid-height sensor' when the fluid is low (as the brakes wear, the fluid level drops proportionally), the fluid level is below the sensor, and creates a circuit, thusly illuminating the light.

This is going to be one of those Gremlins you have to be there to catch. Here are a few possibilities.
1. There is usually an adjustment rod before the brake booster. It gives you "play" before the booster engages. It may be hanging.
2. There is a porportionating valve in the lines which may be hanging up.
3. The type of Brake fluid may be wrong for the heat an RV produces. The expanding fluid may be locking the brakes.
4. The brake lines made of Rubber may be twisted when they were replaced each time.
5. The Calipers may be locking up. They are inspected but not usually replaced when the brake pads and rotors are done. Check your bills.
6. If stranded again, jack up RV to see if all 4 wheels are locked or which wheels are the problem.
7. Check to see if Emergency brakes are OK. The rear rotors have drums behind the rotors. Any good brake shop should have checked them the first time.
8. Let me know what you found. Good Luck

How to remove a front brake hose for 1985 chevy 1/2 ton truck

You will find the clip for the front brake hose inside the frame.
Remove it and pull the hose out to remove it from the steel brake line.
The other end will have 2 gaskets at the caliper end....one above and below the hose connection.
Once the new hose has been installed.....open the bleeder on the caliper and remove all air as fluid flows into the new parts.
Only new fresh brake fluid should be added to the master cylinder to replace lost fluid.
Do not expose brake fluid to air for long periods.....it will absorb moisture.
You may have to bleed the other front caliper to restore a firm brake pedal.
After your repair hold the brake pedal down for a few minutes...it should not drop down.....and also inspect for leaks before moving the vehicle.
