SOURCE: Fuse blows as soon as I turn key on done changed ECM,coil, and cam position sensor

all fuses have a circuit to protect which one is for you to determine using the manual normally its a 12 volt feed to whatever symbol or identification is.a great way to troubleshoot is using a multimeter one lead of fuse holder is hot when you turn ignition on leave fuse off place one lead to the feed side(other fuse lead not the 12 volt)place meter on continuity where it will beep when connection has been made.other test lead to ground or chassis.if it beeps you have a short to ground.again it will be nice to know which fuse is blowing.i can help you.process of elimination is not the key to repair it becomes costly

Faulty fuel pump or fuel pump relay. Locate the fuel pump relay. Remove it. And turn the key on again. Check if fuse is holding.

As soon as I turn the key to engage the starter, the ENG CONT 10a fuse blows. It's the 6th one down from the top, on the right side.

You have a short somewhere in the starting and ignition systems. Take your car to an automotive electrical specialist immediately. If you put in a large enough fuse the car will start but you could trigger a fire that might destroy the car.

Eng. controller Fuse keeps blowing when I turn the ignition on to start my car

Have you checked your wiring to starter? It sounds like the power wire going to starter has loosened up.That would cause fuse to blow and also the way you described that the car died. Or even check to see that the red wire going to starter hasn't gotten dinged or melted by the exhaust. Anything that would cause it to short out.

On a 2004 BMW X5 4.4L Eng, The Fuse # 26 blows when ever I start the car. But if I turn Key on with the eng off. it does not blow. Any Ideas? The Fuse 26 & 32 are for the front power seat

Fuse 32 is for heating for seat 26 adjustment driver seat they are both related they go in the motor seat adjustment, you may have a rub thru wire as it reaches a certain position then it blows

Eng mod fuse keeps blowing

Not sure what you mean by eng mod fuse. What's the year, make and model? What's the description of that fuse in the owner's manual?

My 98 Regal keep blowing the ignition fuse

Is it the 30A MaxiFuse marked IGN 1 or the 60A MaxiFuse marked IGN 2 from the underhood fuse block that blows, or a different fuse? Maybe the 10A IGN 0 fuse in the fuse block?

check the wire harness to the ecm... which is located under the radio... if you , like I , live in a wet / snowy climate... the water /ice from your boots melts and collects near the harness. Maybe it corroded a wire and is causing it to short?

Try "resetting" your keyless entry code. Which is a fancy way of explaining that I broke my keyless entry key fob and had to order a new one. It came w/ instructions explaining how to get the new fob to speak to the car's computer. It was weird (turn key on and off 3 times, open and close door three times, etc. **I'm sure my neighbors were watching and laughing**), but it worked. I'll scan and email you the insrtuctions if you wish. Dan:
