Most newer cars can't be adjusted. (fuel injection). Have a garage check your sensors--they can cause this problem.

Is there any way to adjust the cold idle speed on ford ranger 3.0

There is a base idle speed set at the factory . From sensor inputs the PCM - engine computer controls idle speed in all conditions . There is nothing for you to change idle speed, you shouldn't even try . Will cause PCM to turn on the check engine light ,that you won't be able to turn off . If your having idle problems your best bet have a qualified repair shop check scan data .

The fuel pump was changed, now it idles high.

The idle speed is controlled by an Engine Control Module (ECM).
It needs to be put on a computor to be checked.
The idle air valve provides the control for constant idle speed. In order to set the correct air valve opening to achieve constant idle speed, the fuel injection control unit uses information from the air mass meter, A/C switch, throttle valve switch and the ignition control unit (RPM signal) to regulate the output current to idle air valve. This means, there is alot of things that can make the idle speed go up or down...Hope this was some help to you??

Every time i turn on my car and it idles, it will periodically sputter. I notice when i turn on the air it will sputter even more. i notice it the most when i first hit the gas pedal and once the RPM reach...

This is caused by a defective idle speed control. When your vehicle has a power demand from any source such as a kick from the a/c compressor, it sends a signal from the throttle position sensor to the computer telling the this idle speed control to ramp the RPMs'. Changing the idle speed control should fix the problem, if not I would change the throttle position sensor.

Idling problem toyota altis

Either there is a vacuum leak causing the high idle, or
the IACV is bad or being controlled by the computer to make idle speed too high:

To change the IACV refer to the following:
Idle Speed Control (Idle Air Control) Valve Removal & Installation To Remove:
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
  2. Remove the throttle body. Idle speed control valve toy_cor-04-18-1187.gif

  3. Remove the 3 mounting screws from the throttle body. Remove the idle speed control valve and gasket.
To Install:
  1. Using a new gasket install the idle speed control valve on the throttle body with the 3 mounting screws.
    • Tighten 33 inch lbs. (3.7 Nm).
  2. Install the throttle body.

How to change Idle Speed Control on V70 2.4 with pictures if possible.

The idle speed is contoled by the throttle assembly. If you change it with a new one, you will have to have software downloaded into the vehicle to make it run (you can't use a used unit). You will need Volvo's Vida system for this. If you still want to do this, let me know and I will send you all the info you will need.

After I changed the battery the engine stalls at

Since all engines are controlled by the computer, you cannot manually reset idle speed. The idle is controlled by an idle sensor.
