How to change spark plugs in a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS, V-6

I was getting ready to go buy the plugs when I noticed I can only find 3 plugs up front, the other wires dissappear somewhere else. Help!

The fuel filter is located in the pressure line that runs from the fuel tank to the engine, near to the fuel tank.
Keep the engine off for few hours before replacing the filter, to get rid of some pressure in the lines.

SOURCE: 2003 Monte Carlo SS Hesitates and Dies after running for awhile

The ck engine light should not be ignored, what sensor was shown to be bad ? Have it scanned again and replace the sensor that is bad if it still runs rough you might want to consider a tune up. Plugs, wires, fuel and air filter's and clean the throttle body with some gumout. It could also be the IAC motor Idle Air Control. Good Luck

I have a 97 escort that is not prewired for fog lights and i have noticed a wite harness for power mirrors that is not being used Can i use this to power my fog lights and connect a switch?

i wired my front fog lights on my escort van using the rear fog lamp switch u change the actual switch to the double switch(front an rear fog switch) if you buy this off a scrap car you cut the wiring and connect rear fog plug to bottom of switch and connect front fog wiring to the top plug.

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 4x4. Noticed a brief loss of exceleration on a hill, but ran fine after that. Later the battery was dead. Jumped the battery to 1/3 power to see if engine would turn over, and

The initial description is incomplete. what happened after jumping the car? If you jumped timing it would quit running completely immediately. You can have a plug wire that grounds out temporarily under heavier loads when things get hotter. As the heat increases, the resistance in the wire increases and makes it more likely for it to discharge somewhere else. This is much more likely if you have old worn out plugs.

Changing your plugs and wires may help, but without knowing the rest of your initial description it's hard to help further.

Engine light on. went to auto parts store, they diagnosed number 2 or 3 cylinder not firing. prior to this i changed plugs and wires. then i changed the coil. the engine light went off and the gas economy...

Hello mikew564.The first diagnosis was number 2 or 3 cylinder not firing. Once you changed the coil, the check engine light went off. When the light came back on again, did you get it diagnosed again to find out if the problem was the same?... 2 or 3 cylinder not firing????

First of all, there is NO extra wire/ground on the coil/ignition wiring (see images below). The spark plugs and ignition plug wiring can be checked for arcing, corrosion, resistance and can be checked for cracks in the insulators or worn electrodes (and spark gap) by a competent mechanic.
If you are having the same issue (2 - 3 misfire), there are several techniques for eliminating the plug wires or spark plugs. Spray water on the plug wires to see if they are arcing. Swap plugs from cylinders 2 & 3 with cylinders 1 & 4. If you still have a 2-3 misfire, check/inspect/examine the coil connector pins & coil harness to the coil(s) themselves.

Many possible causes. Spark plugs, HT wires, Distributor cap or rotor, Stale fuel, Ignition coil or a fuel clog somewhere.
