Question about Mitsubishi Pickup
You need to remove distributor car and check for corrosion on the wire contacts or hair line cracks,
And check or replace rotor.it sounds like its jumping spark across wire contacts.

First, to read VW codes you will want to get yourself a $50 VAG tool. It will read all your systems, not just the ECU.
Electronic Power Control can go out for several reasons. Check your brake lights with the car running. Check you radiator fluid level. If the car is running bad, you could have bad spark plugs/ wires or ignition coil.
The traction control is tied into the ABS system and often causes problems here as well. Each wheel has a speed sensor and magnet wheel in the hub. You can check these for damage by removing the tires for access. The sensors come out by hand, and inside the hole they come out of is the place to check the magnets with a flash light. Apply a small amount of wheel bearing grease to the sensor.
The control unit goes out in these systems at an alarming rate. They can be easily removed, and repaired for under $200 at modulemaster.com
Since it is intermit, I suspect most likely a loose sensor, or electrical connector.
If your brakes feel squishy at all, bleed the brake lines of air and contaminants.

Hi, I have a 2001 polo 1.4 mpi it lackes power when you hit a hill it just dies, It has had new cat, fuel filter, fuel pump and throttle body, but is still the same it just dose not want to give me full rev's?

Tips for a great answer:
The barometric pressure (BARO)
The manifold absolute pressure (MAP)
The intake air temperature (IAT)
The engine RPM
P0121 The predicted air flow and the predicted MAP combined are outside a calibrated range for more than 3 seconds.
Inspect thoroughly for any type of leak or restriction
Air leaks at throttle body mounting area and intake manifold sealing surfaces
Throttle body for dirt, debris, and coking--Refer to Throttle Body Cleaning.
Increase the engine speed slowly to 3,000 RPM, then back to idle.
Exit from the snapshot and review the data.
Observe the Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor parameter frame by frame with a scan tool. The MAF sensor g/s should change smoothly and gradually as the engine speed is increased and is returned to idle.
If the MAF sensor g/s does not change smoothly and gradually as the engine speed is increased and is returned to idle, refer to DTC P0101 or P1101.
Broken throttle shaft
Any throttle body damage
If any of these conditions exist, replace the throttle body assembly.
