Question about 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD
I want the instruction of how to remove the transmission and transfercase from a 2002 2500 hd chey silverado
I can most likely make you up a PDF with pictures and instructions but there were 3 different engines and a couple of different transmissions plus the fact if it was automotic or a manual trans mission as well. Will need that information and If you know the type of transmission including a model that will help as far as being sure you have the correct information. Feel free to email me at email@example.com with that info and I will be happy to help. No there is no fee or cost.....don't mind helping out. Gota tell you though, this isn't the easiest of jobs...

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I found that loosening the bolts on the inside of the tailgate made the job a little easier. Don't remove them. I could get to the trim piece from the inside to make sure I didn't break it. Pep Boys does sell the small package of clips for about $1.00. Make sure you don't break the clip and hope it works anyway like I did and ended up doing the job twice. I should have bought a second package of clips.

The reason is they are pressed in and you have to press them out with a tool and some have a C clip that has to be removed you can go to schucks or autozone to rent the tool to press out and it has to be pressed back in.

Take a small 90 degree pick. Inspect the fitting closely. Use the pick to "roll" the retaining clip off the fitting. The line will simply pull once this is done. U can install the clip first on reinstallation (inspect them closely) and then simply push the line into the fitting. It will "click" into place. Note u will have to orient the line perfectly to push in.
