Question about 2004 Ford F150
The gas light came on then it shut down like it ran out of gas. I put gas in and now it acts like it is not getting fuel so I put a new fuel filter on . That did not solve problem. What should I try next?
The electric fuel pump in this truck is inside the fuel tank, the fuel that the pump sits in provides cooling and lubrication for the fuel pump, when you run out of gas it is like running the engine out of oil, it damages the pump,You will need to remove the fuel tank and replace the fuel pump.

the automatic gas shut off switch is located in the trunk tucked up under the wheel well I think on the left side for that car. you need to feel around for it and press a button on it to reset it.

my '93 f-250 (4.9L) stopped running while driving, now it acts like it isn't getting any fuel. Tried switching tanks, but still does the same. What would be the problem.
