the issue is your new parking brake cable is shorter then the old one (they stretch over time) most commonly there is an adjustment in-line under the vehicle (it will be a box style bracket with a set nut or two) or sometimes the adjust at the pedal or lever itself. either way once youve found the adjuster with the brake lever/pedal in the off position tighten the line till it has no slack in it (taught but not to tight) test it by depressing the pedal/pulling the lever, if it easily bottoms out add another full turn. repeat this process until you are unable to bottom the pedal/lever out. for the next few weeks be sure to use it every time you park. being that its a new cable it will stretch and you will have to add a few turns to it to finalize the process. dont worry its an easy process, hope this helps!
