SOURCE: engine light 2006 pontiac g6(reset)

first be sure that its the engine light and not the "service" light. the service light will usually illuminate if its time for an oil change. if its the service light ur owners manual should tell u how to reset it. if its ur engine light then try disconnecting ur positive battery cable for 1 minute. that should reset ur ecm and get rid of the engine light. if the engine light comes back on then have a diagnostic scan done to determine whats causing it. SOURCE: how to remove interrior door panel pontiac G6 and replace broken

Remove any bolts/screws you can see then get a plastic crowbar and pry it off. Should have little plastic push pins holding it to door. Make sure you remove all screws though.

2008 Pontiac G6 where is the Mode Actuator located? We have heat coming out of vents however it will not switch to Defrost or Floor

Pull the heater/AC control head and check for vacuum at the mode control switch, if none is present go under the hood and trace the vacuum line to the engine and correct the loss of vacuum which is causing this problem.

This may sound weird but the last couple weeks I have been hearing a reving noise which sounds like its coming either inside my dash behind the speedometer panel or inside my hood. It sounds like a remote...

details given lead me to belive that your climate control or fan of your heater is worn...normally just wear after years and do what you are saying....so try turn off off off all heater or cooler fans and go for a drive...other than that you've something wrapped around a driveshaft causing the noise...

No heat in Pontiac g6 2007

troubleshoot!
are the heater hoses (firewall) gettin just as hot as the radiator hoses? If not, focus on blockage in the heater core.
If they are same temperature, might be a mechanical/vacuum malfunction in the climate control system.

3G Mitsubishi Eclipse Climate Control Light Bulb Replacement

The control panel for the heater and A/C must be removed. Suggest you get Chilton's manual from the library. It will take you through step by step with pictures. To summarize: 1) Remove trim panel covering radio and heater controls. 2) Remove radio. 3) Disconnect the two heater control cables from the control panel. The trick to removing the cables is to compress the "claw" spring holding the cable by pressing a screwdriver from the underside of the control panel to release each cable.4) Remove control panel. Take to a workbench. From the backside of the control panel at the top, notice two large holes through which you can access the V2 Toshiba bulb holders. Turn them a quarter turn to remove them and the bulbs. The bulb is a common #74 bulb.
