Question about 2002 Chrysler Sebring
The oil pressure light operates on a sending unit mounted near/around the top of the engine on an oil galley. when the oil pressure reaches critically low levels (typically between 10-20 psi) the light will come on to indicate the problem. usually this is due to a low oil level. IMPORTANT- do no operate.run your motor with low oil pressure, this can cause irreversible damage to your engine! check your oil level if you are full on oil and the oil is not old (if its really old and gotten too hot a time or two it can become thin and loose viscosity) then you need to check your oil sender first as its the cheapest to replace (oil pumps dont often fail) reply to this solution and i can help walk you through this . hope this helps!
