Question about 1989 Cadillac Seville
When I go to start the car, the message board reads Starting Disabled Due to Theft System, Remove Key from Ignition and Wait 3 Minutes. After the 3 min. is up it says start car, I try to, and it says the same thing over again, and makes me wait another 3 min. The first few times it would start after once or twice, now I can sit there for over an hour and it will not let me start the car, when the 3 min. is up and I go to start the car , it just repeats itself. Please Help Me. I had someone remove fuses, messed around with the computers under the dash, and we even removed the hot wire from the battery, hoping it would reset itself, and we came up with nothing.
I just recently was troubled with the same problem it can only be fixed by changing the ignition switch. you have to get the key and switch together (dealer only) any GM dealer will be able to help with that then remover the steering wheel and get to work or pay a mechanic to do that for you but it will solve the problem you see there is a small white wire that came apart sucks but that's what happened .
