Most all pumps is the gas tank. Drop tank, Unscrew big flange nut on top of tank. Replace pump and reserve your removal. Good luck.

Is the fuel pump really bad?
Our son's erstwhile Ford something had a shock sensitive switch that when tripped by a big pothole, shut the (electric) fuel pump off and had to be reset before it would function again.

Should be on the passenger side kickplate below the glovebox and to the right. You may have to remove the plastic panel to access it or look for a small hole in it and feel around for the button
