This happened to me. The problem is that the drain is clogged. Remove the wipers and the vents under the wipers. You will probably see a lot of dirt and dead leaves in there. use a shop vac to clean the area. Then find the drain hole. There are two of them, one on the left and one on the right both lead to a hose going down on the sides of the engine. Remove both hoses. Clean them out and also clean out the drain hole as well. I used a screw driver to clean them all out. Then with a water hose, pour some water through the hoses and drain hole with a very light pressure. You should see the water going through the drain hole and also see the water going through the hoses that go to the bottom along the sides of the engine. This has solved my problem. This usually happens when you park under trees a lot or the vents are not protected from debris. If in fact the vents do not have a screen on it, then just pick up a role of aluminum screen at Home Depot for under $10. Easily place the screen under the vents with very small screws or just use a staple gun and just cut off the remaining screen. Hope this helps you out. Good Luck!!

Forgot to mention that you have to also remove the windshield sprayer hose. But don't forget to put it back on, as I did. I had to remove everything again just to put the hose back to get the sprayer working. LOL!!

Water dripping from weep hole in firewall 02 town and country

even when you use the heater, modern climate controls use the air con to dehumidify the air to assist in defogging. this humidity runs out a small hose normally on the passenger side of the firewall. this is normally not a problem

Ac leaking water inside of car

The '97 Jeep does not have a hose. It goes into the frame. If you lay on your back by the passenger side door you will see an oval hole. Stink a coat hanger through that hole and water will gush out. Also in the passenger side floor board towards the firewall there is a black plastic part, the bottom portion is round. Drill a hole in the dead center of the round part and water will flow out. Stick a long piece of stiff wire in it, blow it out with air and do the same from the bottom of the frame as mentioned earlier. It will flow out nice at first but will probably clog up again. I cut a piece of coat hanger and left it in the bottom portion, put electric tape over the hole in the dash and when I see it is not flowing - check frequently I shake the wire from underneath and it flows again. After owning a jeep for 6 months I have concluded that jeep engineers are stupid careless people.

The passenger side floorboard gets wet =

is it only when the ac is on? there is a pan under the ac unit that has a hole in it to allow the condensation to empty. if that hole gets plugged it could cause the condensation to build up and back into the inside of that car. i unplugged mine and floor stayed dry

AC works fine but water drips on passenger side

this is normal, water is the condensation leaking out,but if leaking inside the van then the drain is pluged up, the drain is on the pass/side outside the van on the firewall, blow air into drain or stick a coat hanger in to hole until water leaks out,

I have water on the floor on the passenger side of ny 98 town car and i don't know where it came from or how to prevent it from happening again

did you notice the water after a rain? or was it dry?

the weatherstripping around the door may be damaged. inspect for tears, missing sections, detatched sections, use a garden hose and spray aroun the door seal to see if there are any leaks. also spray around the window to see if that's leaking.

are you sure it's water and not engine coolant? the heater core may be leaking. it is located on the passenger side under the dash. is the coolant low?

there may be a hole in the floor

2006 hummer h3 has a leak on passenger side under the dash during a rain storm

My 06 was leaking during rain also. It turned out to be the sunroof. There are two drain tubes in the front of the sunroof that run the water down the corners to the ground and two drain tubes that drain water out the back corners. The water would seep around the glass, which is expected, but both of the tubes on the front of mine were plugged, and the water would overflow behind the dash and fill my floorboards. If my H3 was leaning to the left during a storm then the drivers side would be full of water. If leaning right, then the passenger side. I had to open sunroof and blow compressed air into the drain holes to clear them, but be careful, too much air will separate tubes from sunroof and then you will have to remove the inside paneling around sunroof to get to tubes and reconnect. You may only have one side plugged. you can test it by opening sunroof and pour a little water in the small catch pan in the front of the sunroof and see if it drains as expected (to the ground under the firewall on left AND right side). You can see the holes in each corner of catch pan to drain the water. Plug one with your finger, then the other to find the plugged side. Good luck!! Hope this helps!!

Water leak in 1995 Jeep Wrangler SE

There is a drain for the vent air box under the hood on the firewall. Open the hood and look on the left side of the engine for a rubber tube hanging vertically from the firewall. This tube gets filled with crud (leaves, dirt, etc) and plugs up keeping the water from draining until you turn a corner and it spills over into the cab... on your feet. Been there done that.

The drain has a **** in the bottom- pull it up, squeeze it at the end and use a screwdriver or similar to clean the end out.

Forget windshields, firewall sealants, and all the other remedies suggested all over the internet for water leaks until you look at this- it's the cause 99.9% of the time
