Look under the housing where the oil filter is and above where the starter is. It will be the second sensor from the drivers side. I may have a diagram if you need one. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

Well, Since you did not bother to mention what type of vehicle or which engine the vehicle is equipped with, I cannot find it either! If you would like a reasonable solution for your problem, you must post a reasonable question with enough information so that someone will be able to help you.

Oil indicator popped up. dipstick shows fulloil oi has been changed every 3000 miles since new .car runs very smooth with 150,000 on engine

take it in to an accredited service center and have the oil pressure tested using a mechanical gauge --that eliminates mechanical problems
then have the oil pressure sensor and or sender replaced
reset the ECM using a scan tool

Engine started knocking on a honda cr-v 2.0 vtec

check your oil level, color, and smell. My guess is that the low oil pressure light is on because of literal lack of oil to pressurize. Generally when you get that light and a knock it points to major engine repair or replacing the engine. Knocks due to oil pressure can indicate many things from a bad head gasket to a stretched rod or blown piston rings. Check your coolant reservoir for signs of oil entering the cooling system as it will float on top of the coolant. By the sound of it it needs major mechanical repairs

High oil pressure

First thing is find out if the oi pressure is really high. Remove the oil pressure sending unit and hook up a oil pressure test gauge kit, if the pressure is within normal then replace the sending unit first. (requires a special socket)

Hello royamaral: My name is Roger and I will helps you. I would suspect you have a bad oi; pressure sensor. Should be located down by the oil filter. Just above the filter with a single wire going to it. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

I have a 1998 plymouth voyager with a 3.3 engine in it and the oil light stays on, but their is plenty of oil in it. Could it be the oil pressure sending unit and where is it located? Thank you Jeff...

It very well could be and probably is. The only exception is if you are leaking oil.
The Oi Pressure Sending Unit (Sensor) should be located on the front lower part of the engine, adjacent (to the left of ) the Oil Filter and should have 1-wire going into it.
Let me know if this helped, or if you have additional information or questions. Feel free to contact me at FixYa.com!
