I am curious... what year is this van... and what diesel engine does it have. i am a professional diesel mechanic that specializes on ford engines and i never herd of an R2 engine. it has got to be a 6.2l, 7.3l or 6.0l engine... at any rate none of these engines have a timing belt... unless you have some kind of import model that i am not familiar with. if that is the case them i will try to find out all the info i can.

My r2 diesel just keeps thumbling but wont start is timming d problem

check for air in the system and bleed out. Unless you have done something to the pump (timing belt) there will be no problem with the timing. Run the fault codes or have the injectors reconditioned.

Removal of the crankshaft timing sprocket R2 diesel

Hi
Why are you removing this sprocket?
Or, do you mean crankshaft pulley?
If you are looking to removing the timing sprocket be aware that you will need to put the engine at its required timing setting points, YOU MUST USE THE CORRECT TIMING TOOLS and when tnese are fitted remove belt, remove crankshaft sprocket.
Fitting is reverse but there will be a resetting figure for the timing belt.
********Please dont do this job if you either have never dont this job before, do not have the correct tools, or just dont have the experience. Dont let a "friend do it or help you unless they are qualified Technicians.
You will destroy the engine in a few seconds of cranking if you get this wrong!! Be warned.
cheers
Roger

INSTALLATION

Note: Do not mix 1/2 round and trapazoidal belt tooth profiles. This can cause premature belt wear, also the belt is meant to run in a dry environment. For maximum belt life, no oil or belt dressing compound should be applied to the timing belt.
Install the timing belt over the sprockets in a counterclockwise direction starting at the crankshaft. Keep the belt span from the crankshaft to the camshaft tight while installing over the remaining sprocket.
Loosen the belt tensioner attaching bolt, allowing the tensioner to snap against the belt.
CAUTION: Do not rotate crankshaft with the spark plugs installed .

Note: Do not turn the engine counterclockwise to line up the timing marks. After rotation, recheck camshaft timing marks for alignment. This will verify that the belt has not skipped a tooth during rotation.
Rotate the crankshaft clockwise two complete revolutions (720 degrees) stopping at top dead center. This will allow the tensioner spring to load the timing belt.
Tighten the belt tensioner attaching bolt to 23-30 Nm (17-22 lb-ft) .
Install the crankshaft damper.
Install the splash shield.
Lower the vehicle.
Install the RH engine mount.
Install the spark plugs.
Install the timing belt cover.
Install the accessory drive belt automatic tensioner.
Install the accessory drive belt.
Connect the negative battery cable.

Thank you.

Does my ford focus titanium have a timing belt or

This unit will be running a timing chain. Now,The 1.6 "diesel" engine has both a belt and chain. In the diesel edition, the belt runs from the crank shaft to the cam and the other cam is ran by the chain.

Can't get the E2200 R2 started after installing new head

You need to "bleed" the fuel lines.
Loosen injector 1, crank the engine until fuel comes out. Tighten the injector.
then repeat for the rest.
Do 2 injectors and see if you get any improvement.
I may bleed itself if you crank it over enough but can kill the battery.
if doing 2 doesn't help do them all.
