Can't prime my saanyong musso diesel

If vehicle has a MERCEDES MOTOR fuel distribution comes via common rail system, diesel is drawn from tank by high pressure pump and fed to injector rail. FOR any reason if rail pressure drops injectors will not open .Possibility that fuel line has air lock or leakage. Diagnostic equipment will be required to solve certain engine management malfunctions.

Fuel pressure drops when put in gear, stalls

You are equipt with a CSFI injection system, most tech call it the spider injection system, these injector deliver fuel to the popet injector by a tube a plastic tube ,if this tube rupture there is no way for you to see it ,and plus if the fuel pressure is unstable you have a pressure regulator failure, not the fuel pump, dropping the axle has nothing to do with your problem or a fuel pump ground, it get its ground from the ECM, if it was a direct ground the relay would burn, If you want to solve this problem access the fuel pressure regulator and you will see leakage and inspect the injector tube, also check the motor oil and see if it is fuel contaminated.

Replacing fuel pump

To replace the fuel pump you must remove the fuel tank form the car. You will need a floor jack and jack stands and then remove the steel straps that hold the tank in place and then the filler neck and drop down tank to access the fuel lines, disconnect the lines with the special tool kit and slowly drop the tank out.

P0193 - P1188

P0193 - Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input
The Fuel Rail Pressure (FRP) sensor is a diaphragm strain gauge device in which resistance changes with pressure. The electrical resistance of a strain gauge increases as pressure increases, and the resistance decreases as the pressure decreases. The varying resistance affects the voltage drop across the sensor terminals and provides electrical signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) corresponding to pressure.

Strain gauge type sensors are consider passive sensors. A passive sensor is connected to a voltage divider network so that varying the resistance of the passive sensor causes a variation in total current flow.

Voltage that is dropped across a fixed resistor in series with the sensor resistor determines the voltage signal at the PCM. This voltage signal is equal to the reference voltage minus the voltage drop across the fixed resistor.

The FRP sensor measures the pressure of the fuel near the fuel injectors. This signal is used by the PCM to adjust the fuel injector pulse width and meter fuel to each combustion cylinder.

Symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Engine will not start

Possible causes
- Excessive resistance in the circuit
- Low or no fuel
- Wiring harness connector of the fuel pressure sensor
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor
- Fuel Pump

How to remove fuel tank from 06 ford escape

To remove most tanks whether it be a side mount or rear mount make sure tank is almost empty so that your not struggling with the weight of the fuel. There should be 2 bands that hold the tank in place.Loosen these straps but don't drop the tank completely.Remove the fill tube and the vent tube from the tank. Some vehicles have a cover under the rear seat to remove the wire harness if no cover then you will have to lower the tank and remove the harness and the fuel lines. The fuel lines will require a special tool to remove them which can be purchased at your local auto store for around 6 bucks. When lowering the tank be very careful not to drop it because you could break the harness.Check to make sure all hoses are removed and out of the way.Be sure to have a drain pan in case of a little fuel leakage. When working with gas be sure you don't spill any on your skin because it will irritate your skin.Once all this is done you can drop the tank.

Replace fuel pump 2002cheverlot suburban

Best way is to drop the fuel tank down. If there is fuel in the tank you would be advised to use a floor jack to help hold it in place. If you drop it without a jack you stand the risk of ripping out the fuel lines which could make the project a lot more difficult. Having dropped the tank and lowering it safely, you will first have to disconnect the fuel lines from the pump. After the lines are all disconnected there is a ring holding it in the tank. On the ring will be a few tabs that you will use a flat head screwdriver and a hammer to tap them around until the fuel pump can be pulled out of the gas tank.
