Please be a bit more specific as iam having a job understanding exactly what you mean here ,inspected pro place what is this and as for low engine oil two months whats that got to do with a test and why is the OBDII being connected too as any test involves a gas analyser proble up the exhaust not connecting to the car via the OBDII idle a problem yes as this effects the CO emission reading but a welding mark? so what ,take vehicle to a local mechanic and get them to take the vehicle for the inspection they will know what to do and what is a pass and most likely know the inspectors and go for coffee with them -say no more They cannot fail a vehicle for faults stored in the memory thats for sure in any country ,no use a local mechanic and watch it pass

Are there a way to reset the computer on a 96 Isuzu Trooper

the ECU , reset on all cars has 3+ ways.
all do.
keyon
1: scan tool push reset button (best of best)
key off.
2: pull the ECU memory fuse for 5min put back,
3: pull battery neg lug for 5min put back.
4: Pull ECU, (gross way) but does 2 trick.

usa answers only... and not stated by you. (yours)
that fuse is called

ECM 30amp, F-3 (fuse relay box)
it is the memory fuse, and is hot all the time, (for memory retention)

ecu=pcm=ecm

proof.

If keyless entry code not on fuse box under dash, is there any other place to find it? Or is going to dealer only remedy?

Do not go to the dealer! First, what seems to be the problem you are having? how and when did it happen? and what have you done so far to try to correct it? Please provide this information and i will be more then happy to help you fix this. If you happen to need any info or ECU ECM PCM for this current vehicle or ANY other type of Car, diesel trucks small and big, SUV DIESELs ANYTHING etc, please call 888-672-4816 or 954-279-2040 and tell them Tim From FIXYA.COM sent you for FREE PROGRAMMING on YOUR NEW ECU ECM PCM DIESEL OR GAS COMPUTER!! What does code p2096 mean for 2005 magnum SE?

P2096- Post Catalyst Fuel Trim Sys Too Lean Bank1... It could be the result of bad gas or if you used fuel with a higher content of Ethanol. It could also mean that the post cat. converter O2 sensor on the driver side is bad. I would try filling up with a good quality gas (minimal Ethanol content), disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for a minute or so to reset the MAL (malfunction indicator light) and see if that takes care of it. If the code reappears, you may have a bad sensor, maybe ECU ECM PCM, worst case.... If you happen to need any info or ECU ECM PCM for this current vehicle (as they have a HIGH failure rate) or ANY other type of Car, diesel trucks small and big, SUV DIESELs ANYTHING etc, please call 888-672-4816 or 954-279-2040 and tell them Tim From FIXYA.COM sent you for FREE PROGRAMMING on YOUR NEW ECU ECM PCM DIESEL OR GAS COMPUTER!! Ecm failure causes

no year?, hopeless.
my wild guess, cell; phone?
and 1983 Accord, with ECM flash code 13?

did you look here first then ask questions.
http://www.troublecodes.net/honda/

this is a Carb car right?
if car is EFI
13 means bad baro sensor, in non science terms
that means a bad MAP sensor.
the MAP is used to calculate all air flowing in to the engine
and this allows the ECU to inject a perfect fuel mix.
if 13 happens the eCu goes to limphome and sucks fuel like crazy.
13, means bad wires to MAP or bad MAP or bad vacuum line to MAP.
a tech, checks all 3, and then tests the MAP and the problem is solved. the FSM is free, ask.

really a 1983? very very old.... tjhat...

Hi,

You need to inspect the entire Camshaft Sensor Circuit, right back to the PCM.

Finally, you should also inspect the entire CRANKSHAFT sensor circuit and wiring, right back to the PCM....as Crankshaft circuit failure can sometimes trigger this code.

I have a Hyundai Santa Fe, 2002, 4 cylinders, 2.4 L, gasoline engine, automatic transmission front wheel drive. I recently changed the crankshaft angle sensor because it got damaged (the wires got out...

You describe an issue which should be diagnosed by an authorized and certified Hyundai Technician. Here's what happens when a coil fails: Overload of the drivers in the in the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) as well as the IFS (Ignition Failure Sensor). Did you happen to have a "Check Engine Light" and did you retrieve the DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) from the PCM (ECU (Powertrain Control Module/Engine Control Unit)? I'm going to assume you had a coil failure.... occurances like this also damage the IFS.. when that happens, usually, it also damages the coil drivers in the computer (ECU/PCM)... this is why I recommend you have it diagnosed by a qualified Hyundai Tech.

I have a 2004 Honda Civic 4 cyl. That has a code P1298 ''Manufacturer Control, Fuel/Air Metering''. This, I believe is causing multiple cylinder misfires. Can anyone tell me what the culprit is of the...

OK. Here's how to diagnose the P1298 error.

DTC P1298: ELD Circuit High Voltage

1. Reset the ECM/PCM (see HOW TO RESET THE ECM/PCM ).
2. Start the engine.
3. Turn on the headlights.

Is DTC P1298 indicated?

YES - Go to step 4.
NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the ELD and at the ECM/PCM.

4. Turn the ignition switch and headlights OFF.
5. Disconnect the ELD 3P connector.
6. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
7. Measure voltage between body ground and ELD 3P connector terminal No. 1.

Is there battery voltage?

YES - Go to step 8.
NO - Check the No. 4 ACG (10A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box. If the fuse is OK, repair open in the wire between the No. 4 ACG (10A) fuse and the ELD.

8. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
9. Connect ELD 3P connector terminal No. 3 to body ground with a jumper wire.

10. Disconnect ECM/PCM connector E (31P).
11. Check for continuity between body ground and ECM/PCM connector terminal E15.

Is there continuity?

YES - Go to step 12.
NO - Repair open in the wire between the ECM/PCM (E15) and the ELD.

12. Check for continuity between ELD 3P connector terminal No. 2 and body ground.

Is there continuity?

YES - Go to step 13.
NO - Repair open in the wire between ELD and G201.

13. Reconnect the ELD 3P connector and ECM/PCM connector E (31P).
14. Start the engine and let it idle.
15. While measuring voltage between ECM/PCM connector terminals A24 and E15, turn the headlights on (high).

Does the voltage drop?

YES - Update the ECM/PCM if it does not have the latest software, or
substitute a known-good ECM/PCM, then recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good ECM/PCM, replace the original ECM/PCM.
NO - Replace the ELD.
