There are so many things that can cause this type of problem. here are a few things to check. first thing is to make sure you have the correct amount of fuel pressure, low pressure can cause this. the next thing is to check sparkplug wires for arcing. spary a mist on plug wires and look closely for any sparking also check cap and rotor.

check oil pressure with a gage if okay then change the oil pressure switch. lack of power could be low fuel supply, poor TPS, exhaust partially plugged.

I think I would check the fuel pressure and the maximum fuel pressure from the pump.
I would look to data if temp sensor , map, tps,
lack of power can be cause by many things

suggestion.. lower exhaust pipe and drive car with exhaust disconnected, a possible clogged cat. converter.

'98 Nissan Altima 2.4 L lack of power. Not that evident around town but when accelerating up to highway speeds it takes forever. Higher RPM than normal with lack of power.?????
