Question about Cars & Trucks
When attempting to start there is a relay on the passenger side of the motor that clicks on and off and when off the ecs light comes on and wont let me start my car when on the ecs is off and i can start and run it it runs good for awhile then just dies out of the blue
The ecs light is a check engine light, this is good, this way we can find the problem. you will need to get the codes out of the computer, and then define the codes, the code will be given in numbers by the lights flashes, this will help so much, if you can get codes i can help you define them and tell you how to go about fixing problem. to get the code you will need to open hood and near wipermotor you will see connectors, i have enclosed a diagram showing you the test connectors, connect the two together and then turn key on and count light flashes, the fisrt digit is in teenths and short flashes are ones, for example flash----flash-flash-flash-flash. would be 23, again f------f-f-f-f = 14. do this with warm engine, the codes will repeat after all codes are outif you make mistake turn key off and back on. get codes and i will help.

there is a way,on the diagram below remove the 16,15,14,13 and then remove 18 wiggle the cv out and replace(iy may be hard to remove due to the age of vehicle so a bit of force may be needed(small sledge hammer or puller.

try looking at the fuse box, or a distribution box of fuses and modules in the engine compartment, or, actually if there is a dashboard glove box..open it and try and look behind in there.
Definitely buy the new flasher, and compare what it looks like to what you are looking for.

The ECM for this vehicle is locate on the drivers side (American) firewall, about mid way down. It will have a couple big harnesses plugged into it.
