It's has gotten really cold here in the last couple of days, but I will soon catch a break in the weather to try & finish this job, as I have not did a head gasket in a very long time! Also as I took the cams out, I did notice they both had the marking so I marked them with white paint myself 1 & 2 , so that I would know which one was first & second, Thanks for any photos that you may have,

On your request,
For the Crankshaft timing MARK.
You need to remove the cover, the Timing mark is inside.
Your Information is right.
The cam's at 12 O clock. Remember the left side Intake and the right side Exhaust.
Because each of the Cam sproket have the sign , Intake and exhaust

Need timing belt mark diagram for the 2000 2.2 daewoo laganza

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

Below are the 2 pictures that should answer your question:

Just note that even with all the timing marks aligned you can still have the ignition timing 180 degrees incorrect. I.e the intake, exhaust and crankshaft can all be in time but the engine will miss-fire back through the intake due to incorrect IGNITION timing.

I have a 2001 daewoo laganza that has a cylinder 3 missfire. I have changed the plugs and wires, but the car still gets horrible gas mileage and is still missfiring. Car runs like **** up until I get it to...

My 2001 Daewoo Laganza also showed this problem. It turned out that my valve cover gasket was
not seated properly and oil was accumulating around the spark plug of the #3 cylinder. Replaced gasket and engine started running fine.

Does my 2001 daewoo laganza have an interference engine

Yes it is an interference engine. Be sure to change the timing belt on maintenance schedule to avoid damage to the valves/pistons if the belt breaks. When you change belt, consider changing the tensioner and idler pulleys as well to be safe and sure. I also changed my water pump, since the labor to do so was already covered when changing timing belt.

Locating camshaft positioning sensor on 2000 Daewoo Laganza

it is under the upper timing belt cover between the camshaft gears. According to the manual touching anything related to timing belt requires removing million parts including right front wheel. I suspect this might be an overkill just to remove upper timing belt cover.

So my advice would be to get it done by some mechanic as u will not be able to do it and may damage other parts also.
