SOURCE: 2006 chevrolet hhr vibration while driving

Most of the time this is due to an unbalanced, or out-of-round tire due to belt seperation, especially if the vibration get harder the faster you go. Otherwise have a garage check your alignment.
Unless you have had an impact to the front end, these are probably your solution. Good luck, I hope this helps you.

Check the passenger side carpet for saturation. Have you checked the oil level? How is it running? Condensation from the exhaust is normal. Water is a by-product of burning gasoline.

Check for blown head gaskets. GM aluminum-head engines are VERY UNFORGIVING when it comes to being overheated. The heads usually warp, resulting in blown head gaskets and repeated overheating like you are describing. One of the main symptoms will be that you fill the cooling system and open the bleader screws to get the air out of the system. Then you start the engine and run it until the cooling fan comes on. When the fan comes on, place your hand behind the cooling fan and see if the air coming through the radiator is HOT. If it is blowing cool air, the coolant is not flowing through the radiator like it should. This is usually caused by high pressure in the cooling system due to combustion gasses getting in.

When you changed out the struts, did you also replace the Strut Bearing Mounts that mount the struts to the strut towers on the car? These things are notorious for making the rattling sound.

My 2007 hhr power steering light has came on and the power steering has stopped working

There is a known issue with the power steering motor for some of the HHRs. When you turn the car off and back on it will probably reset, for a few minutes, days, even weeks... However, if it continues to fail, the motor, which is on the steering column under the dash, will need to be replaced. You can do it, but you may want to contact the dealer first for warranty coverage.

The power steering in my 2006 hhr goes out as soon as I put the car in drive.

you have electric power steering on this model. Not a simple solution/answer but when you put it in gear, something is messing up one of the monitored sensor inputs to the power steering control module. This model has a diagnostic system that sets steering codes. should also have a POWER STEERING warning message when a codes sets, Sorry no simple answer you need diagnostic tools.

I have a 2006 and had the same problem. The car was still under warranty, so I took it in for repair. Several times. They finally replaced the thermostat and that solved the issue. Try that.

Good luck and please let me know how it works out for you.
