Question about 2001 Chrysler Town & Country
I've tired all kinds of things, the key will go into and out of the ignition but will not turn, I've pulled on the steering wheel both ways while trying to turn it, I've changed the tilt of the steering wheel that did not work. I've stepped on the breaks and tried pulling on the shifter arm while trying to turn it. I even unplugged the battery to see if it had a theft power issue. Nothing worked any other suggestion.
Maybe the lock cylinder is broken?? do you have a ton of weight on your keyring? this can wear a lock very fast

It's possible the tumblers have fallen in your ignition. I had a similar incident with a Focus I owned. Everything locked and I couldn't get the key to turn at all. They had to tow the car to the dealership and replace the tumblers.

You can always put a new ignition in it. But for some cars changing the entire column is easier then changing the ignition.

try turning the wheel to the right/left while turning the key in the ignition. You have to apply some force. Your car is probably outliving its road life.
