Picture is for the carbureted model but has the same patter as my fuel injected model. It's actually pretty easy to see how it goes. If the pully has groves then the grove side of the belt will fit right in it prefectly. If it's smooth then the back side of the belt with run along it. To loosen the belt tensioner do two things. first in the picture below you will see in the top middle you will see the tensioner. The back of the belt runs along it. You will notice that it looks like a solid peice. loosen the top slighty with i believe a 15mm. After that connect to the pully attached to it and pull back to the passenger side until you can slid the belt off the alternator. put back on in reverse order. really really simple once you do it. good luck

Go to the web site below. (copy and paste the address into your browser).
Above the photo are 2 PDF documents. The first - Routing Guide gives you the diagram code for the car and engine. See page 30 for the 89 CHEV Corsica 2 liter.
There are 2 belts - one for the air conditioned equipped engine (diagram 6-3) and one without the aircon (diagram 5.3).
Next go to the second document - Illustration guide PDF document - for those 2 belt diagrams.

Chevy made at least five different engines for pickups in 1989, and with a lot of accessory options. Check this link and select your pickup and engine size. When you get the listing of belts, if you see a small camera icon in the left column, click on it and you will see the diagram of the routing.

When I replace a stereo, I buy the harness which is available on Ebay.com or places like Best Buy. All of the wires are labeled and color coded which makes it easier to connect with the wire nuts to any aftermarket stereo that fits in your dash.
