SOURCE: trouble codes

The listing of codes that I have states that a P11xx code is related to fuel and air metering. I'd suspect from the past to check for vacuum leaks (broken, cracked or disconnected vacuum lines) or possibly the mass airflow sensor. You can get electrical contact cleaner from Radio Shack, unplug the electrical connector for the mass airflow sensor, and clean it to see if that helps.

SOURCE: Dip stick reading

The design of an oil pressure sensor must be tougher than rocket science; the failure rate is awful high for the simple task it performs.
This is a common failure and they are generally not terribly expensive to replace. They are supposed to make contact if the pressure falls below ~ 4 PSI, a level that pretty much tells you to STOP and add oil because at that pressure, there could already be some damage to bearing surfaces. The typical range is ~ 30-60 PSI for proper lubrication and (oil) cooling without blowing gaskets sealing the oil channels.
As you wrote, the engine isn't rattling; just replace the sensor.

SOURCE: blue light stays on in my 2000 beetle sometimes flashes

MINE DID THE SAME THING. THE LOW TEMP SENSOR IS ON TOP OF THE HOSE PHLANGE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. IT HAS A WIRE PUGGING IN TO THE TOP. IT IS ROUND WITH A GREEN SHFT ON THE TOP. WHEN CAR IS COLD. GENTLY PULL THE CLIP OUT, THEY BRAKE EASILY, PULL OUT THE SENSOR AND O RING. REPLACE WITH NEW PARTS. VERY EASY TO DO. DO NOT SUGGEST USING AFTERMRKET SENSOR THE ARE UNREALIABLE. WORTH SPENDING THE $30 AT VOLKSWAGON FOR THE CORRECT ONE. VERY EASY JOB TO DO.

Oil light keeps comeing on ???

Remove the electric sender and install mechanical oil gauge to check that you have proper oil pressure. Bet ya the main bearings are not fitted correctly or the engine wasn't cleaned during overhaul and now bearings are trashed.

When switching on ignition buzzer goes off, oil sensor ,garage flashes on,oil full .where is sensor ?

The gauge should be on when the key is on and the engine is not running.

The gauge is lit by a sensor which detects oil pressure. If your engine is not running, there is no oil pressure, so the circuit closes and the light comes on.

Reset change engine oil light

Information taken from: http://www.idavette.net/tech/oilreset.htm

The "Change Oil" indicator is reset by using a sequence of Driver Information Center (DIC) key presses as follows:

1. Turn ignition "ON", but do not start engine. (ALDL pin "G" should NOT be grounded.)
2. Press the "ENG/MET" button and release, then, within 5 seconds, press it again.
3. Within 5 seconds of Step 2, press and hold the "GAUGES" button. While the button is held, the "Change Oil" indicator will flash.
4. Continue holding the "GAUGES" button until the "Change Oil" indicator stops flashing and goes out, indicating successful completion of the reset cycle. This should take about 10 seconds.
If it does not successfully reset, turn ignition "OFF" and repeat the procedure from Step 1.

Maintenance light flashing

h) Engine Oil Replacement Reminder
Light (for vehicles sold in U.S.A.)
This light reminds you when to replace
the engine oil.
This light will come on when the ignition
key is turned to “ON” and will go off after
about a few seconds.
When you drive for about 8000 km (5000
miles) after the engine oil replacement,
this light illuminates for about 3 seconds
and then flashes for about 12 seconds
with the ignition key turned to “ON” position.
If you continue driving without the
engine oil replacement, and if the driving
range exceeds 12000 km (7500 miles), the
light will come on after the ignition key is
turned to “ON” position. The light will remain
on thereafter.
If the light is flashing, we recommend that
you replace the engine oil at an early
opportunity depending on the driving and
road condition. If the light comes on, replace
it as soon as possible.
You need to reset the light after the engine
oil replacement. Reset the light by
following the procedure below:
1. Turn the ignition key to the “OFF” position
with the odometer reading shown.
(For details, see “Odometer and two
trip meters” on page 136 in this Section.)
2. Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position
while holding down the trip meter
reset button.
Hold down the button until the light goes
off. Before the light goes off, it illuminates
for 3 seconds, flashes for 2 seconds and
illuminates for 1 second.
If the system fails to reset, the light will
remain flashing.
