Question about 2001 Chrysler Town & Country

1 Answer

Radio Problem I have a Town & Country LTD 2001. When the car is cold the radio works fine as also the CD player. When it is parked and in the sun, the time on the radio start blinking on and off and no radio or CD functioning. Poping noise on the radio and staying more off than on. When the car cools the time comes back and the radio too, but if I try to adjust the volume, it stops completely again. I believe that there is somewhere a thermal fuse protection but I don't know where it is and for sure not in the fuse box. I took off the radio, open it, and couldn't found anything abnormal. One tech said that there is an amplifier inthe back of the car but I couldn't figure out where. How can I solve the problem? Eliot Israel in Savannah GA learsi33@gmail.com

Sounds like the ejector has become jammed, probably from repeatd failed attempts to eject the stuck cd's.
There isn't much you can do about it, repair on that unit will probably cost more than a better aftermarket replacement

you may have a faulty connection either on the radio plug or the fuse. check them. sometimes the fuse can look good but it has snapped and any movement will break the circuit.

Radio, cd player and clock won't work

Have you checked your fuses? If the fuse has blown, it would keep them from working.

2001 radio stopped working. Equalizer lights blink in unison. Below CD loader seems to work. Checked car fuse- it's o.k. Bump radio?

Your radio is shot. You can get a new one on Ebay.
Note that you can get the Jeep grand cherokee radio, it will fit

I had the same problem after I changed the battery. No radio but power to the CD changer for a month. I finally went back and took the terminals off and cleaned them REALLY good. Works again!

Radio 80c7e80b will not play, only get static on AM/FM CD Works

your radio is shot, and the cd and tape player still works. You have to buy a new radio if you want to listen to a radio.

2005 Chrysler Town & Country Radio & DVD problem

I had the same problem.

Open the front hood and go to the fuse box under (right next to the battery).

Replace the 20A fuse labeled RDO/Power

I am sorry that the owners manual does not even mention this.

Radio & CD player just quit working and does not show time

sounds like you may need a new radio unit. the cd player runs off the radio. check your fuses first, also make sure there is a good electrical ground.
