will or wont move foward? you can get to the wiring block under seat. isolate wiring from motor 1 of three, (middle motor- foward back, front motor - front seat base up / down, back motor - back seat base up /down) does it work of mem. buttons? or when u lean seat foward (entry assist).
dear friend-the section you are talking about is adjustable and either works electrical or manual,if you have a button moving the seat forward and backwards there will be a button for the back rest.if the seat move with a lever there will be a lever for the back rest.
Electric or manual??? If electric one of the motors has gone out. If the kids were playing with it they may have held the button down causing the motor to spin while the seat was all the way foward and it will just burn the motor up after so long. Also the switch could be bad. Unfortunatley being that its power there is no way to manually move the seat back without the motor turning or removing the seat and spinning the motor sprocket by hand...
i would check to see if all conections to seat motors are hooked up with good conection and check for fire when you push the button foward if theres fire and a good conection the motor is probiblly bad..
I wonder if you dont have a bad switch. I had a similar problem on my car except that it was the heated seats that would not engage... the power seat buttons all worked just fine. I changed the switch and it fixed the problem...
Mine's a 2004. Assuming your's works on the same mechanics----- Set the seat, radio, mirrors, etc to where to want them then push the button on the arm rest on the door until it beeps. Obviously, setting 1 is for whoever uses key fob 1 and 2 is for key fob 2.
